New Bern, NC - Newt Gingrich released the following statement reacting to Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum suspending his campaign:

“Rick has waged a remarkable campaign. His success is a testament to his tenacity and the power of conservative principles.

Just saw this on Twitter from Greta. Newt is asking Santorum supporters to support him. He is going all the way to Tampa.

With the race down to Willard and Newt the best move is for Rick to call on Sarah and Perry, perhaps another to coalesce into a campaign for Newt. With the various factions of the conservatives and republicans coming together they can thwart the undercurrent of the go-pees presumption of Willard is the winner.

Picture Newt, Santorum, Palin and Perry together on a campaign stage beating up on Hussein Obama.

Willard’s mealy mouth approach will wither and fade behind the roar of the cheering crowds.

I just gave Gingrich money to encourage him to stay in and keep fighting.

I hope Newt can re-emerge. Nothing would make me happier.

It would really say a lot if Rick told his supporters to go for Newt. That being said, prayers up for the Santorum family and Bella.

Reposted comment:

We have three remote chances to change the course.

1. NEWT WILL NOT SUSPEND

2. UPSET THE CONVENTION (for ABR)

3. RICK THROWS DELEGATES TO NEWT, NOT ROMNEY

I won’t vote for either of the socialists who hate conservatives.

Good for you cotton. I will also donate to him. I think we conservatives must find a way to make it happen together. Newt is on with Hannity right now as I type this. My heart goes out to all who supported Santorum and they can be so proud of what he did.

Newt is delusional. I see this as a ploy to get more contributions to bail him out of debt. He wasn’t competitive before and he won’t be after Santorum’s departure. Santorum was the last true conservative left in the race.

I was going to donate this week to help get him out of debt. He espoused my values. Now, I just doubled my previous amount. Guess I am one of those “Born Every Minute”, but I know he made me feel hopeful and I owe him for that.

Still, I want to say “Go NEWT!!”

2 and 3 cannot happen without a major faceplant by Romney. He will have too many delegates at Tampa who will be required/desire to vote for him on the first round. The women with baseless sexual harassment charges will not be trotted out until after he safely has the nomination.

D*mn, Rick folded like a cheap lawnchair. The Pennsylvania polling must have had him losing big to Myth. Since he lost the Senate reelection by nearly 20%, he'd probably be throwing away everything he'd gained by going through with the primary.

Rats. I doubt he'd endorses Newt. He's bought and paid for now.

It is quite a bit more likely that his daughter is reaching a time when she will need two adults to care for her. Two trips to the hospital this close together cannot be a good sign. You are correct on one thing, the 60/40 split cannot get Newt close enough to deny the nomination.

Get real
Sweater vest was there for one reason
Take out Gingrich
Mission accomplished

Independent candidate can get on ballot in all 50 states if they start now

Perot started about this time back in 92

GOP MUST DIE

Likewise here, in fact about 1/3 of my neighborhood has already ponied up some nice-sized donations to Newt’s campaign, with more soon to follow. A close friend is in personal contact with one of Rick’s delegates, and the inclination already is for Santorum’s pledges to shift rapidly and fully toward Gingrich.

While I’m not the conspiratorial type, the timing of Rick’s announcement is more than a little suspicious, given that Romney still isn’t anywhere close to the required delegate count, Santorum’s home state is upcoming *and* major conservative states hostile to Mitt, esp. Texas and North Carolina, are soon coming up in the next couple months. Rick’s courageous and a fighter- this isn’t in any way like him. Makes me wonder if one of the bought-off establishment stooges, aware of Rick’s family issues and the threat his conservative movement was still posing to Mitt’s attempted RINO coup d’etat, sought to exploit that.

The Mormon Church has been all but trying to buy up the nomination for Mitt and take control of the Republican Party, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve had a hand in this, too.

Interesting that so many of the Mormon doctrines are just like the Muslims, with polygamy, harsh penalties for apostates and those who wise up and leave their cult (almost a carbon-copy of Islam), plus encouragement of lying to “infidels” as a way to gain advantage (just like taqiyyah among the Muslims), even to the point of condoning cold-blooded murder if it’s in their immediate interest (the beheading of Laban by Nephi). Just like Mitt Romney’s shown with his naked political opportunism. The Mormon founder, Joseph Smith himself, was a convicted conman and drunkard (thus also a hypocrite) even to the point of defrauding thousands with a crooked bank (the Bank of Kirtland, fleeing in the middle of the night), just like Mitt Romney’s Bain after raiding the jobs and pensions of Christian conservatives throughout the country. And the Mormons like the Muslims, are aggressive and believe in using any means necessary to subvert existing societies and subjugate them, financial, demographic. social or whatever (embracing the same pseudo-conservative idiocy as the neocon and globalist RINO’s who try to buy off the RNC). This is why both Muslims and Mormons hate evangelicals and true Christians in general, because we’re on to them and we stand our ground without budging. Some of their businessmen tried to seize control of a branch of the GOP in Florida and one in Missouri where my cousin has a business- attacking non-Mormon Christian businesses and employees just as Mitt Romney’s done at Bain- but we all banded together to fight them off.

And just like the proliferation of books and resources refuting the aggressive frauds of Islam, others have done the same for Mormonism- http://www.mormonthink.com/lying.htm
since there are so many of them!

So IOW the MSM has now on cue declared, as the GOP “frontrunner,” a documented RINO, a political opportunist, a fraud, a sworn enemy of Christian conservatives and an incompetent loser, who’s managed to consistently lose to underfunded opponents throughout the 2012 primary, in elections before that and in the 2008 primary as well.

Newt can take Mitt down if the Gingrich campaign continues to draw Santorum’s supporters and the conservatives who continue to stand firm. Although Nikki Haley has already sold out to Mitt’s stooges, and of course perennial RINO’s like Jeb Bush and Juan McCain have predictably rallied to Mitt’s side, the core conservatives like Perry, Sarah, Herman, and their counterparts who’ve endorsed Santorum haven’t knuckled under. There are gonna be millions of us burning our GOP registrations if the party continues this meek submission to an obvious usurper like Mitt, and I suspect that at least some of the establishment types are starting to catch onto this. Newt’s a bulldog- he’ll never give up, and he fights to win, whatever battle he’s in. The more pressure we can apply and the more that we can support Newt now, the faster the establishment will come to their senses.

No one, but no one drops out days before the primary in their own state......unless they weren’t going to win it. What were the Santorum supporters thinking? Did they think Santorum losing his senate seat by 18 in PA was some kind of glitch?
