Rep. Allen West Says There Are Communists in Congress; Is He Right?

Rep. Allen West Says There Are Communists in Congress; Is He Right?

At a town hall meeting in Palm City, Florida, on April 10, Tea Party favorite Representative Allen West (R-Fla.) informed the audience that there are Communists in Congress.

In response to the question “What percentage of the American legislature do you think are card carrying Marxists, Internationalists, or Socialists?” West claimed that there are: “78 to 81 members of the Democrat Party that are members of the Communist party.”

When asked if they hide it, West responded, “No, they actually don’t hide it, it’s called the Congressional Progressive Caucus.”

Later, however, after the remarks were mentioned in an article in the Palm Beach Post, West’s campaign manager, Tim Edson, told a reporter for The Daily Caller that West “was making a jab at the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and not making an outlandish, McCarthyesque allegation.”

Reporting on a series of campaign stops in Martin County, Florida, the Palm Beach Post made only passing mention of West’s allegations of active Communists on Capitol Hill.

Regardless of the jeers directed at Representative West and the description of his statement as a “Red Scare,” there is more than a scintilla of suspicion that his comments may be correct. Let’s break down the conservative congressman’s remarks and review evidence of their accuracy.

Of course there are Communists in Congress, some of them have admitted as much. Doesn’t make it untrue just because a Republican/conservative says there are commies there.

If it looks like a t*rd
And if it weighs about the same as a t*rd
And if it stinks like a t*rd

Then it’s a communist...

And wait, there’s more

It’s also an Obama.

What’s the diff between a lib and a commie?

Thinking....thinking........

Where is good old Joe McCarthy now? Of COURSE this country is infested with commies. duh.

This is partly why the schools have dumbed down the children for decades. The commies including Nikita Khrushchev with his pounding of his shoe in 1960 on the desk at the UN said “we will bury you” and without firing one shot. Well, guess what, folks. His words are ringing truer every day.

Commies goal - take down your country by taking over the banks, destroying capitalism while increasing the size of government, indoctrinate your children at a very young age and destroy / ridicule / eliminate religion. Well, well, folks - exactly what is going on in our great country.

It’s time for us to fight again for freedom - as it is NOT free. Do your part as it’s our generation’s duty to secure freedom for the future in this great nation.

Some sure like what they read from communist;

Senator Klobuchar (D-Mn) 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goTYOjh2q9M&feature=related

Klobuchar “As Van Jones has said, who is a guy who has written a book about the green collar economy, when you think about the green economy, don’t think about Buck Rogers; think about joe six-pack putting on a green hard hat.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Jones#Earlier_activism
In October 2005 Jones said he was “a rowdy nationalist”[14] before the King verdict was announced, but that by August of that year (1992) he was a communist.

There has been commies in congress since McCarthy. It’s so ironic that McCarthy was right, and yet he is demonized as if he was wrong.

We don't have to pussy-foot around with terms like "Progressive" and assertions that their goals are "similar" to those of the Communist Party. Here is a nearly ten-year-old FR link listing the membership of the Democratic Socialists of America:

"Surprise! Nancy Pelosi is really, and officially, a self-confessed Socialist!"
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1140124/posts

And here is the list via "the internet wayback machine". (From that page: "At one time, the following list of members could be located on the DSA web site. However, Once this list was made public, The DSA removed the link to the Web page that listed the following members.")

Never a truer statement has been spoken. That is ALL the Democrat party is as well as a geat deal of the Republican party which is why we have a liberal pushed in our face as the nominee. And people called Sen. Joseph McCarthy paranoid, a zealot. Well look where we are today: THE major political party in the USA is now completely run by Communists. And if that isn’t bad enough, probably the most fervent communist of them all is POTUS who is now only one election away from changing the entire country commie. The Russians must be laughing their asses off at us.

I don’t see any difference between a progressive and a communist. The communists don’t want to admit who they are until after they have consolidated power. Fidel Castro was a freedom fighter until he consolidated power.

Even if the individual is a registered Democrat, if Compusa endorsed him, then he’s obviously a Communist.

Compusa even endorsed Obama.

Case closed.
