Congress Is About To Pass A Bill That Restricts Traveling, Driving And International Banking
Business Insider ^ | April 19, 2012 | Simon Black

[Snip]...As part of Senate Bill 1813 (known as MAP-21), Congress has inserted language that would oblige the Secretary of State to revoke or deny a passport to any U.S. citizen who the IRS Commissioner deems as having "seriously delinquent tax debt."...For starters, in what may be one of the most depraved Big Brother moves on record, section 31406 of the bill makes it mandatory for "black box" event recorders to be installed in every new passenger vehicle starting with model year 2015.

Representative do not depend on our votes any mmore after they attain office. They would like to be re-elected but they will no pass up the riches that accrue immediately they drop their principles into the Congressional Memory hole.

Any Senator who votes for MAP-21 immediately outs him- or herself as a totalitarian.

“And what if our black box “malfunctions” after we buy the car?”

Then it would not pass an annual “safety” inspection, just like the exhaust emission controls.

...mandatory for "black box" event recorders to be installed in every new passenger vehicle starting with model year 2015.

If it can't be bypassed, look for new car sales to slump. 2014 will be a great new car sales year.

Well, if I were the designer, I’d add in “tamper” alarms that would indicate malfunction or tampering.

Maybe put a little transponder at every gas pump, tollbooth, bridge, and cop car, that would indicate someone operating a motor vehicle with a defective, broken, or tampered “black box”.

Naturally it’ll be a crime to drive with a tampered box.

The fixed location transponders, I’d have them read the black box data and ZigBee or otherwise network it to some vast computer that watches everything, for tax apportionment purposes, and compare it to the data in the box when you get your annual safety and road tax inspection.

But then, I’m not one of the system designers, so maybe they won’t think of enforcement issues.

Without a SOLID spiritual base, we just blow in the wind.

Yes, our little Rep Rob Woodall will just tell you all day long at the townhall about how conservative he is and then he turns around and votes for every one of these POS bills. We are never voting for him again.

And the herd cried out in a long, low refrain in protest..."Mooooooo"!
However, people in DC claimed they didn't speak Bovine, despite their being all too familiar with dispensing "the end product" for years as a "productive product", so the loading continued unabated.

I imagine it will be an inseparable part of something critical, like the engine’s computer. Can’t take that out and still run.

The Bill in the House would be HR-14. They have not yet passed it. It has not even been brought to the floor.
You might want to contact your Representitive and tell them to vote against this bill in the event that it should make it to the floor.
Better yet tell them to kill it in committee.
These are the Committees where it is being reviewed
Transportation and Infrastructure (main)
Ways and Means
Natural Resources
Energy and Commerce
Agriculture
Science,Space, and Technology
Budget
Oversight and Government Reform
Financial Services
Education and the Workforce
Foreign Affairs

Can you give us a brief description as to the historical event occurring in the photo you posted in # 23? Is it from the Nazi era in Germany?

I used to think having Washington DC attacked by nuclear tipped ballistic missiles during the State of the Union Speech would be a disaster.

It’s looking more like an innovation.

It’s the end game of any communist regime. Keep people from voting with their feet.

In this case, Berlin.
