Newt Trails Obama by Only 7 Points in Latest Rasmussen Tracking Poll (or It's Not Over Yet).
Vanity | April 21, 2012 | True Believer

Posted on 04/21/2012 8:08:35 PM PDT by true believer forever

In the lastest Rasmussen tracking poll, which has had no media coverage, Newt Gingrich is trailing Barack Obama by only 7 points nationally. Barack Obama is leading Mitt Romney by only 5 points in Florida. These poll results are being withheld by the RNC and the MSM, who want no positive news about Newt in circulation, especially the fact he is only behind Obama by 7 points nationally.

The RNC establishment’s current strategy remains: Publish no poll numbers; spread the word that Romney is the nominee; have people vote based on blackout and misinformation expecting Romney to win big; then hit hard with Romney’s wins and Newt’s losses to bully Newt into dropping.

Please do yourself the honor of reviewing actual polls by doing a Google search for “2012 Republican presidential polls (name state)” and you will see why the RNC is using this tactic. Then spread the word!

Obama with the dem-media complex, millions of dollars, sycophants everywhere in the media, versus Mitt Romney with the entire conservative media capitulated behind him, his millions, and NEWTON LEROY GINGRICH is only 7 points behind Obama in the lastest Rasmussen tracking?

There certainly are a lot of Republican sheep bleating on a conservative site "Vote Romney!"

I cannot understand how a principled conservative would be pushing for Robama - I mean Obomney - at this point. He isn’t the candidate for crying out loud!!!

I have some friends on FR who have said they will VERY reluctantly vote for him if he’s the choice but they hope that he is NOT and will vote for Newt in the primary (or have already). So this pre-emptive support for a liberal R is disgusting. And strange.

I’m still hoping for surprises at the convention, can’t help myself.

There are primaries on this Tuesday in CT, DE, NY, PA and RI.

How do you think Newt will do in those states? How many delegates will he get?

I know people are feeling strong in De, the others I am not sure about. Delegate counts are very fuzzy, there are all sorts of rules and regs controlling them. About to get weather in some of those states, so maybe the faint of heart will stay home... Newt voters tend not to be faint of heart... :)

Gingrich can keep Romney from getting 1144.

If FR made enough noise this would play out differently. But there are too many buying the American version of Pravdas stories. The MSM is pushing that it's over and the idiots are buying it. I've seen numbers posted on FR and Romney is in trouble. The OP's article points that out. But like good little sheep, they buy what the elites are selling.

That PPP poll is also a good one w/the numbers - what one is that, anyway?

That is April 12-15, 900 registered voters...

I am saying to you Romney supporter that you support deception of conservatives and I will have none of it. I will never vote for a liberal period.

Conservatives are big enough to fight a 2-front war, one against the democrats and one against democrats in republican clothing.

See the George Washington graphic above!!!

If he had been like these Romney supporters we would have remained a colony of Great Britain instead of becoming the USA.

“You don’t know me. And my vote is MINE”

I’ve got a 50-50 shot at being right, assuming you even vote.

I don’t need to know anything more than that.

You can vote for Obama or Romney. As foolish as you are falling for the Newt nonsense (and you’ve got plenty of company) I don’t think you’re stupid.

You’ll pull the lever, like me, for whomever isn’t Obama.

This discussion at this point should be about 2016, and what, if anything, conservatives will do to not get a repeat of 2012, 2008, 2006, 2004, 2002, 2000....

Newt’s gonna throw in with Romney if he can get enough delegates to matter to him. So will you.

Laughable.

You have always been a divisive and insulting poster when it comes to conservatism.

You’ll pull the lever, like me, for whomever isn’t Obama.

No. I won't. I have to answer to God and I will NOT stand in front of Him and make excuses as to why I did not take a stand.

Romney is as liberal as Obama. You have not demonstrated otherwise. All you have done is use emotion and insults none of which trumps fact.

“You have always been a divisive and insulting poster when it comes to conservatism. “

I understand that you find it insulting that I’m of the opinion that Newt is using conservatives to advance Newt, just like Newt used the Catholic church to advance Newt, and Newt will use Romney to advance Newt if he can.

If you think God will judge you on the political candidates you support - I don’t think you’ll be at a particular advantage as a disciple of Newt.

“Romney is as liberal as Obama. You have not demonstrated otherwise.”

Why would I? It’s a good argument. The only argument for Romney I can find is that he isn’t as Marxist as Obama.

You gotta pick one or the other.

That is not what I was referring to and you know it.

Also the above is based on cobwebs and fantasy. Is that the Romney camps new meme? I'm not surprised.

You gotta pick one or the other.

Do I? The primary is not over and your propaganda isn't working.

“That is not what I was referring to and you know it”

No, I don’t know what you are talking about, and if it’s not relevant to the thread, complain about me later to someone else.

“Also the above is based on cobwebs and fantasy”

Newt is all about Newt. All politicians suffer from inflated egos, but none suffer it more than Newt.

Isn’t there a problem with the fantasies so many have about Newt being relevant?

“Do I? The primary is not over and your propaganda isn’t working.”

Yes, if you vote in November, you won’t be voting for Newt. Even Newt admits that.

It’s over for Newt. We know that much. The primary performance is a result of votes. Votes are not propaganda.

Not a fact in sight.

It’s over for Newt.

More elitist propaganda. The MSM and RNC can lie all they want and you can push the lies if you like. Romney does NOT have 1144. And the primaries are not over.

I have other things to do. Have a wonderful Sunday.

“More elitist propaganda.”

Yes, when Newt says “Romney is the likely nominee” it is propaganda.

“DREAM ON”

Sadly, thanks to Newt not dropping out when he saw he was not winning contests, Romney WILL BE the Republican nominee, so to send a message to the Republican establishment, I will be voting for Rick Santorum in Tuesday’s primary.

If anybody wants to vote fro Romney in the General, it is understadable because Obama is far worse.

BUT this is the PRIMARY SEASON, so let’s send a message to hopefully get more fairness in future elections.

I’m late getting to my pings from my friend, DJ, so I must add, that I have read the exchanges and I am not voting for Romney either if he’s the GOP-E’s nominee.

He will have bought and slimed his way to their nomination without my vote, so he can sure buy the election without my vote too. I can’t fathom how “we” are supposed to win, when the GOP-E puts up one big government, pro-abortion liar against another.

Now you’re being silly, sweetie, why should the candidate with 11 wins drop out before the candidate with only 2 wins?

Rick had a talk with Newt, but Newt wouldn’t drop out, so Rick realized there was no sense of continuing if Newt didn’t drop out.

Too bad Newt didn’t have some sense; we’d have Santorum instead of Romney.
