They aren’t just racist, but also hateful, and probably intolerant /s

This is sad....they don’t want people who can think.....even a little bit.
If crucial services are peopled with even this level of cognitive thinking.....cities are going to burn down.
Time to live in the country.
A) Hold the woman's right arm above her head. B) Apply a tourniquet just below the woman's right elbow. C) Press the artery that is closest to the wound against a bone. D) Use a sterile dressing to apply direct pressure to the wound.
I nominate this for "least painfully obvious". The "direct pressure" answer is well known to many because of first aid instruction from various sources, but I don't think it's obvious on the face of it.
“A) Firefighter Reilly, who is waving her hands back and forth. B) Firefighter Chang, who is jumping up and down. C) Firefighter Ali, who is yelling as loud as she can. D) Firefighter Diaz, who is waving his flashlight in a back and forth motion.”
Of course it’s racist! There is no Firefighter Tommy the Transsexual’ throwing glitter bombs.

Sorry, but anything that Holder says is racist is almost assuredly non-racist (if there is such a thing)...
bttt - I am too tired to work the sarcasm/humor.
I am hoping all y’all will work it through for me.
Holder probably failed the test himself. Stupid is not an option.
While I am shocked the village voice seems to agree it’s not racist, they ask if these questions will make a good firefighter. My answer is no, but it will get rid of the idiots real fast.
My husband is a ff in a different city in NY. Hey village voice, this test doesn’t get you the job. You then have an interview, physical exam psychological profile, and go to the Academy. You’re competing against those with Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in fire science. You may suck at the interview, fail out of the academy (next this will be racist), not be up to physical standards. Then if you’re hired you’re on probation.
The test gets you put higher on the list for an interview where we live. If they don’t find those qualified that scored the highest on the test, they go to the next group. If someone couldn’t answer those questions, I would not want hubby going into a burning building with them! And then there’s the officers exams.

“serious” questions:
Are there any pictures alongside the questions?
Is there a choice of languages for these tests?
What is the time limit for these tests?
Comment:
Multiple choice answers are so easy. One doesn’t have to read the question in order to pick the correct answer.
I would consider these tests racist if the student had to pull the answer out of their head and write it out. Picking A B C or D is a no brainer.
The completely incompetent affirmative action president and staff demand completely incompetent affirmative action questions for completely incompetent affirmative-action firemen.
Good find grundle!
I can’t believe this piece actually ran in the Village Voice.
A former coworker, black female, was arguing for affirmative action. I asked her “You’re having brain surgery. Do you want the best black brain surgeon or the best brain surgeon?”
She said that was a racist question.
These kind of questions remind me of the exam I had to take to get into a highly trained army unit, thus getting out of being drafted as a grunt as Vietnamese gun fodder.
“If boy A goes down on a seesaw, what direction does boy B go?”
“The following is a picture of A) a screwdriver, B) a wrench, C) pliers, D) a hammer”
9. Firefighters are required to operate on the subway tracks during emergencies in the subway stations. Which one of the following would present the greatest threat to the safety of a firefighter working on the subway tracks?
D) A maintenance crew working on the track.
You are holding a bag of Skittles in one hand, an Iced Tea in another hand, a Cell Phone (while talking to your Girlfriend) in another hand and pulling your Hoodie over your head with another hand.
Which hand do you use to punch the White Latino in the nose?
Seems the DoJ is asserting that the people most likely to get even these questions wrong are minorities.
So what does that make Holder?
A) Bigoted.
B) Racist.
C) A fool.
D) Insane.
(Yes, it’s a trick question)
