Apparently he's spent the last ten years living in Ohio.

"Living in Sandusky? What does that have to do with the Canadian border???"

Government-connected, globalist media sponsors trying to cheapen imports from Canada, pushing policies to suck more revenues out of Canadian tourists, trying to equate Canadians to Mexicans, etc. Meanwhile, we Americans are living more like Mexican peasants each year.

It is on Lake Erie, a body of water which the border runs through.

Ummm, thanks.

My point is just that. Sandusky is an hour from a vehicle crossing point. Far from the border, which is in the middle of the lake. And don't throw the ferry at me, they aren't running yet.

The story comes from a TV station in south Texas(think Anchorman). They are lucky to know where Ohio is.

I’m trying to figure out how we have borders agents in Ohio? I would’ve figured whoever patrols the lake would take care of that?

Ummm, no chance. The article says he was arrested in January in Sandusky. I know we had a mild winter but taking a boat across that lake in January is impossible to suicidal.

I started to write about how unlikely such a voyage would be when I stopped and realized that anybody throwing a boat in the water in Lake Erie in January would be apprehended and escorted to the psyche ward of the nearest hospital. It is suicide.

Well, a different source explains that he was stopped by the State Patrol, who called in the Border Patrol.

Sandusky is a port of entry, but not by boat in January, see above.

Sorry eastforker and all other insulted Texans.

I meant to belittle TV reporters in general, not south Texans.

Most TV reporters have a very limited knowledge of geography outside their broadcast area.

mea culpa
