With the bird cornered, it seemed like guaranteed lunch.
But this patient puss was ultimately left disappointed after trying to catch his feathered foe as it flew out of a nesting box.

Yes, we need a laugh.
Our two shared cats were out on the fence the other day trying to act cool an uninterested while a blue-jay kept attacking them. One was on the fence and the other on a stump and they looked like they were communicating by brain waves.

The only time I’ve seen blue jays dive bomb cats is during nesting season. Then it seems blue jays will dive bomb any perceived threat to the nest.

I think this is a very sad ending.In nature documentaries I always cheer when the lioness is able to chase down the baby wildebeest.

If I support a cat, I also provide cat proof nesting for my local birds, to keep the populations in balance.
Well fed well sheltered cats over match birds.

Just doing what comes naturally to a kitty. Poor little guy....he probably got that momentary embarrassed look cats get, and then stalked off. I never really meant to catch it in the first place...
