Listening to the podcast files again after hearing the original broadcast on the way home, it strikes me that Ted Nugent is an American institution on the same level as Will Rogers. He is a national treasure, and I love listening to him talk about politics.

I will say, without a doubt, that Ted Nugent is the best guitar player America has ever produced. His politics is also right up there with the best.
Here is Uncle Ted’s Stranglehold (From “Motor City Mayhem”):

There was a time when I sat beside Shemane Nugent at a Freeper rally and things rocked.
True Blackman and Kristinn kicked ass
Fire Fighter for Freedom gave himself a saline IV while it was 104 to keep rollin on

That doesn’t mean he can’t be overly optimistic about any particular politician.

If he’s not the best, he’s certainly right up there. I told him to his face once, during a book signing, that as a guitar slinger of several decades I had ripped off every hook he ever recorded. He liked that. :) Was one hell of a nice guy, by the way.....sent everyone off with a “God bless you” as they walked away with their signed books. NOT the rock wild man you see on stage; a down-to-earth, genuinely nice guy.
I’d love to jam some heavy electric blues with Ted some day; blow the roof off of some joint.

I really like Ted.
RINOmney, however, is still a vapid dork who will change directions faster than an atom in Brownian motion.
RINOmney, the human weathervane.

I will say, without a doubt, that Ted Nugent is the best guitar player America has ever produced.not by a longshot, and I hope he would agree. The best politician/guitarist, maybe.
now then, he's still performing? How old is he?
To: Da Coyote
First I don't like Romney. Second you have made the case to hold our noses and vote for him. He is a human weather vane. Unlike the Communist in Chief. WE can control the weather vane. WE can kick up enough wind to make him swing in our direction. WE can do it if we put forth the effort.
There is nothing on this earth more important to Romney than being President. Remember Clinton? We got him to enact Welfare Reform. If we could swing Clinton we can surely swing Romney.

I remember back in the late 'sixties he and the Amboy Dukes played every Friday night at a dive bar at the intersections of Olive Street Road and Hog Hollow Road in St. Louis County, Missouri.
I was too young to get in then, but I remember the sign being there for years; "Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes."
