As much as I hate and despise the Franken-crap POS, I hate and despise CommieCast 100X more for what they’ve done to competition and pricing in this area.

Right on!

I don't know where you are, but here in the People's Socialist Republic of Utopian Moonbats (Vermont) if you begin downloading a large file, your puter's internet connectivity slows to a snail's pace.

I can't wait until I move (for good) from here to Florida this Fall and not only will I get away from a group of mindless Leftists, but will be rid for good (I hope) from Comcast's SOP's in targeting individuals who use the Internet for their enjoyment.

I hear ya...in my area there is zero competition to Comcast, except for satellite which is okay, so long as there are no severe storms, after which you can collect dishes like sea shells.

I could care less about TV, but Comcast is also the only source for high speed internet, the basic cable package internet speed is only slightly better than dial up, to get good speed you have to upgrade to a premium package, to make a long ugly story short, you hit the nail on the head, they are better referred to as Commiecast.

I’m in the Mid-Atlantic Region - can’t say exactly where due to my Family Farm’s extensive “prepping” activity - but CommieCast has shut-down Verizon and 2 other large ISPs from all Net/CATV activity and competition, prices have gone thru the roof each month with a noticeable degradation in service and usage restrictions/rules are threatened with numerous letters to customers. There are no options; not even dial-up, anymore. This is a total and complete monopoly.

Bingo; that’s all I use it for anymore. But dish is worthless here, with all the storms we get. Dial-up isn’t even an option, anymore.

As much as I hate to admit it, Baby Huey might actually have a point here. People I know who use Comcast internet report an unusual number of (ahem) problems when trying to use services like Netflix, Vonage or Hulu.

Just because we believe in Capitalism doesn't mean corporations are always doing the right thing.

The FCC (Federal Comedy Club) and DOJ (department of Jerks!) can waste time investigating ComCast right after they complete their investigation of Al Franken for voter fraud!!

Oh, wait, my bad!! Only a LEGITIMATE government would do those things. OUR government will waste their time (AND the taxpayer dollars) on political circuses - symbolism over substance!!
