Matthews, who is black, questioned why the shooter waited until Ja'Quares -- whom Matthews described as a "tall, skinny black kid" -- was standing at his car to pull his own gun.

I can think of two good reasons. One, perhaps he's not a lunatic who starts shooting at people before he's sure what the situation is. Two, when you feel threatened it's not a good idea to give away what your main defense is until it's time to employ it.

"I'm a black man and I'm pulling the gun before he gets to my car," Matthews said.

Here's the information you deserves, biatch:
You raised (or more likely failed to raise) a scumbag, wannabe thug that was a threat to decent citizens and a drag on society in general. He tried to rob, at gun point, one of the aforementioned decent citizens who happened to be legally armed and obviously competent with it. He put several rounds center of mass into your scumbag son, killing him. He deserves a medal.

The only sad part of this story is they haven't invented a bullet that kills you when he shot him.
