We should pray that Mr. Chavez repents and accepts Christ prior to his death, but that doesn't require that we ignore that this world will be a better place without him.

Pretty much spot-on. One less communist is never a bad thing. No loss to humanity.
He wants to come to Christ, Christ will have him, and that’s between him and the lord.
But here on Earth, he’s caused a lot of misery to a lot of innocent people.
No loss. I raise a glass when he kicks. Probably several, actually.
Then I’ll try practicality then. Do you think you are going to persuade any of Mr Chavez’s supporters to your way of thinking by crowing over his demise?

Chavez' supporters are just as debased and degraded as he is. I don't even try to convert empty headed liberals, let alone, full bore Communists. Those types are pure evil, and deserve nothing but the greatest contempt from people of good conscience.
I actually see one less Communist as a gain for humanity. I honestly cannot see the downside to his exit.

Hugo’s eyes aren’t opening. He’s a die hard Castro wannabe. He’s a big boy, a grown man, who’s had PLENTY of opportunity to change his life, and he’s “socialismo!” to the end.
Your opinion is duly noted, and I defend your right to have a different one than mine.
No communist/socialist/etc, though, would waste a moment’s time giving you the same defense. Hugo and his ideological ilk would remove you from this Earthly coil in a heartbeat for disagreeing with their view of Utopia if you were in their way.
We’ll agree to disagree, and move on from there.

The only downside I can see is that the system he put in place, with his cronies and apparatchniki, will still be in place, and some other little commie slob will come in behind him to take over.
Interchangeable, replaceable, and totally worthless, just like his predecessor.
Pray for the people of Venezuela to rise up and rid themselves...IF they want to, that is.
That’s the question...how badly do they want to? Or are they content and happy with it?
Chavez may have had his “come to Jesus” moment and repented for what he has done. He claims to have grown close to Jesus as he approaches death.
He’s fed the injustice and violence of envy and economic jealously and he is a communist thug theif. I hope he repented. The road to hell is paved in communism’s good intentions.
