"Black Studies" Critic Fired (Vanity)
Posted on 05/13/2012 7:54:53 PM PDT by TigerClaws
Seriously, folks, there are legitimate debates about the problems that plague the black community from high incarceration rates to low graduation rates to high out-of-wedlock birth rates. But its clear that theyre not happening in black-studies departments. If these young scholars are the future of the discipline, I think they can just as well leave their calendars at 1963 and let some legitimate scholars find solutions to the problems of blacks in America. Solutions that dont begin and end with blame the white man.

In response, over 6500 academics signed an online petition demanding she be fired. She was accused of overt racism and bullying of grad students. At first the Chronicle stood by her and stated that her comments deserved discussion, but after she wrote this response to the clamor and furor of the liberal academia, the Chronicle of Higher Education capitulated and fired her.

Liberals are a mob and will not stand for any dissenting opinion among their ranks. Especially in academia.

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs - partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

Booker T. Washington obviously hated blacks and just wanted to be white. He saw how good it was to be educated and self sufficient and civilized and wanted that for himself, his family and all others. He was just a bad, bad man.... how Jesse “the Joker” Jackson would explain the Booker T. Washington quote.

I no longer give a rats patoot about the “Back Community “ and their self inflected problems. All I ask is to be left alone and not to be asked or ordered to “keep them from wasting their minds”.

I saw the author of the blog a couple of times on FOX this week-end. She is a very attractive white woman who happens to be married to Jason Riley, a very articulate, highly intelligent man who frequently appears on FNC's The Journal Editorial Report which airs every Saturday. Jason also happens to be black.

So she felt she could get away speaking her opinion in “post racial America”?
No such luck.

Apparently no one can get away with it - even if the person offering their opinion is black. My point was a woman married to a black man is obviously not racist yet she was accused of being exactly that. The more I listen to liberals, the more I wonder how they can delude themselves enough to believe what they say.

Some of the descriptions of the sting pain are downright humorous, though they make me cringe.
