I find myself repeating this passage:
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
I am seeking strength and courage.
Jim,
May God bless you sir for you have echoed my thoughts.
This country, based on God-given rights and not rights bestowed by any government, was going along just fine until us good folks stood back and let the idiots kick God out of the public domain. We didn’t do much when school prayers were banned, nor did we riot at Christmas display bans, removal of the Ten Commandments from any public building (Aren’t We the People, the ‘public’?(, and so on and so on and so on. If ‘they’ can banish God, then there are no RIGHTS derived from that God that they have decreed to not exist.
We’ve lost our way and we’ve allowed the government to decide for us that the path never was defined by any God. The Founding Fathers understood that our republic was meant for those of good faith and morals, yet we elect people lacking those qualities time after time. I pray for my country, but, sadly, when I look around anymore I don’t see the country I knew. I pray my country will return in all it’s Glory - one nation, UNDER GOD - like we were meant to be.
Ron
Please Pray for our Republic.
Address all prayers to Jim Robinson.
Thanks and God Bless
Amen. Amen.
I stand in agreement.
Amen
God knew exactly what you were going to write and exactly what you meant well before you woke up this morning. In my experience He is far more impressed with sincerity and right intentions than elegance and punctuation. I think he is well pleased with it. God Bless.
I am not American, for if I will say I was it will be lie!!
But, I love America of United States, and either I am wrong or right, I stand by one thing: TRUTH!!
Liberty is not a gift nor is trust, it is earned in heart of a person as its faith from grace from God himself.
There is battle going on, and hell of a battle we are facing, does it mean to be weak I say, let them try, question is — will we as humans of different countries give up? God himself decides not us, but I will say here WHO IS LIKE GOD!!!!!!!!!!
[Romanian native > ESL]
Amen.
Jim, you’ve always shown strength and courage... it shows how dangerous you feel the threat to our nation truly is... Prayers for our nation ..
Amen. These are scary times. Both presidential candidates embrace sins God says are abominable to Him. It’s hard to see where the country goes from here. But we just have to trust...He always takes care of His children.
I liked your prayer. I don’t care much for flowery language meant to impress. I believe in just speaking to God from the heart.
... and all the people said, AMEN!!
Standing with you in prayer for our nation.
“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” — 2Chronicles 7:14
Thank you for praying for us, Jim. We are left praying for a miracle, a miracle of mercy, and if God has truly lifted His right arm of blessing from our nation, and now readies to wield His left arm of due justice, then I pray daily for my own salvation, that of my family and my beloved friends, that we are able to stand in His Mercy alone for we are not worthy, but for Christ paying our sin debt.
May our lamps be found full of oil. God bless your lips in prayers for us.
Thanks. And, Amen.
Amen.
I join in your prayer, dear Jim Robinson!
Amen!
Yes!! Lord Hear Us!!
It is by this faith, and only this faith, that will see us to victory over this evil. The armor of Christ is our most potent weapon...
Also, thanks to Wagglebee for pinging this.
Jim, don't worry about not being a trained theologian. God's power is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9).
From the confessions of my own theological tradition:
Q1. What is your only comfort in life and death?
A1. That I am not my own,(1), but belong with body and soul, both in life and in death,(2) to my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ.(3) He has fully paid for all my sins with His precious blood,(4) and has set me free from all the power of the devil.(5) He also preserves me in such a way(6) that without the will of my heavenly Father not a hair can fall from my head;(7) indeed, all things must work together for my salvation.(8) Therefore, by His Holy Spirit He also assures me of eternal life(9) and makes me heartily willing and ready from now on to live for Him.(10)
Q2. What do you need to know in order to live and die in the joy of this comfort?
A2. First, how great my sins and misery are;(11) second, how I am delivered from all my sins and misery;(12) third, how I am to be thankful to God for such deliverance.(13)

You are very much like a pastor, Jim Robinson.
Definitions: In Latin, the word for shepherd is "pastor". In English, "pastor" is generally used to mean a clergyman or preacher. However in the scriptures it refers exclusively to the shepherds (elders) of a congregation, not the preachers or evangelists.
It is a privilege to have you as a wise leader. One of your most endearing qualities is your humility.
Beautiful heartfelt prayer, boss.
Peace be with you.
