Chris Hayes: I'm 'Uncomfortable' Calling Fallen Military 'Heroes'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 05/27/2012 6:30:17 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Effete: affected, overrefined, and ineffectual; see "Chris Hayes." OK, I appended the name of the MSNBC host to the dictionary definition. But if ever you wanted to see the human embodiment of the adjective in action, have a look at the video from his MSNBC show this morning of the too-refined-by-half Hayes explaining why he is "uncomfortable" in calling America's fallen military members "heroes."

Hayes is worried that doing so is "rhetorically proximate" to justifications for more war. Oh, the rhetorical proximity!

View the video after the jump.

“Hayes is married to Kate A. Shaw, Associate Counsel for President Barack Obama and daughter of award-winning Chicago journalist Andy Shaw, who has also appeared a number of times on MSNBC.[10][11] Hayes and Shaw resided in Washington, D.C., until they moved to New York City, where Up with Chris Hayes is produced.[12] Their daughter, Ryan Elizabeth Shaw-Hayes, was born in November 2011.[13] Hayes’s brother Luke is a Democratic political operative.”

Gee, they even hyphenate the daughter’s last name. Isn’t that PC. I feel sorry about the leftist indoctrination that awaits her. The kid never had a chance.

It makes their gift to their country and people all the more heroic when they did their honorable duty as Americans, put themselves in harms way, and suffered the ultimate sacrifice - in the face of the ungrateful scum of the media like this thing.

A former Spec Ops Commander/Clinical Psychiatrist (I think his name was “Grossman”) wrote an essay describing how sheep dislike the sheepdogs when danger isn’t near.

This Chrissy moron is a typical sheep.

Isn’t Bill Ayers the cop killing domestic terrorist who in recent years hid behind a cop when he “felt threatened” by a group of patriots?

Sounds like a typical freedom hating hippy loser who hangs out with other typical freedom hating hippy losers.

That's what happens to libtards because their ability to use reason has been overcome by their mentality of emotionalism.

Come to think of it, there is quite a resemblance between “Chrissy” and “Mad Cow” Maddow. Yes but she is much more manly but that seems to be true of most liberal ‘Men”.

This cretin’s face should be on the Drudge banner headline with his despicable words in 108pt type. If anyone can get to Drudge do it so that the whole world can see what passes for a liberal/progressive/fascist these days.

And what was Maddow’s reply to that insignificant twerp and his disgusting comment? What kind of hedonistic culture do these people live in? Have they ever made any sacrifice other than separating their garbage?

I would like to say to Chris ... “Dude, your free press, free speech and other Bill of Rights goodies” came to you via blood, sweat and tears of American troops.

Not only the ones who were killed (God rest their souls) and injured, but even the ones who gave up the best years of their lives for our sake.

“All gave some. Some gave all.”

Is Chris Hayes one of their new, gay, black guys that they’ve hired to show that they are diverse now?

He needs to visit Tehran and march with his “partner” with a Rainbow Flag and see how much he appreciates “diversity and culture.”

He will cry for an American vet, but by then he will have died from stones crushing his skull.

Libtards like this need to move to the hellholes they claim to love.

From Conservapedia:

"Mill supported laissez-faire but with social reforms like redistribution of wealth, shorter working days, and regulation of monopolies. Mill was ahead of his time in advocating the development of labor unions and farm cooperatives... Today (John Stuart Mill) would be called a "moderate conservative" due to his support of some government controls over the economy and because his harm principle, popular among liberals and libertarians, often leads to results that directly contradict social conservatism."

So yes, he thought conservatives were stupid people.

This is not so far from what you will find reading a lot of Libertarian sites. Lew Rockwell is full of not simply continentalist isolationist arguments but genuine loathing of the people who make up the armed services. Many of the contributors are anarchist capitalist equivalents of Mr. Ayres and Chris Hayes. I got a comment from a Libtard the other day that summed it up. ‘Heroes, hardly. The people we pay to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq are highly trained mercenary killers. They represent the worst aspects of America and are the opposite of the citizen soldier defending his native land. In fact the people we are fighting in those places are the true heroes and have a far better claim to the mantle of patriot. ........” and on for several graphs. There really is a convergence between the left and the Libtards about the uniformed services. They do detest the people who wear uniforms not just the policies that put them in Afghanistan or Iraq. They claim to dislike military personnel for different reasons but for many in both groups it is because they secretly feel small around military people as many of both groups really are physical cowards. This I suppose is a good thing as it means the Ayers types will never have the guts to really lead a barricade style revolution. Still they are a comtemtible lot both groups,

Someone got to Drudge. Thank you.

This creep’s face and insidiously despicable comment is now known to the world, ever so fittingly, on Memorial Day. God bless our fallen heroes.
