Enemy Inside The Gate
Free Republic original content | May 30, 2012 | By Laz. A. Mataz

It can be argued, by mere observation, that Barack Obama has little fealty to America, and more fealty to certain concepts and ideologies. Those ideologies are Black Liberation Theology, of which he was a student in Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ for many decades; of global governance; and of socialism... perhaps even Marxism.

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. One may readily discard a politicians words, and instead look to their works. The words are intended to mislead, and the works are intended to achieve.

Obama's actions that show his loyalty to a very controversial view, that of Black Liberation Theology, are many. Black Liberation Theology is based on an underlying assumption few of us would disagree with -- that Jesus held out for the oppressed and that in American history, blacks were oppressed. No one would deny these two theses. Where Black Liberation Theology diverges from mainstream, even rational, thought is that it also holds that there is such a thing as a 'white church', that it is a work of the Antichrist, and that all American institutions are, by definition and presently, racist.

Barack Obama's primary actions that show he embraces these doctrines are in his appointment and ongoing support of Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States. Mr. Holder has steadfastly refused to prosecute the New Black Panthers for issuing death threats and bounties against George Zimmerman, and refused to prosecute members of the same organization who expressly brandished weapons in an effort to deter white voters from entering a voting place in Philadelphia. Recently, he has condemned Voter ID -- measures intended to stop voter fraud -- as an attack on the 'sacred right to vote'. These are several of the more visible actions. How many hundreds of similar actions (based on a dismissive attitude towards prosecution of only one segment of the population) are there, that the public does not hear about? We also have the outright admission of Mr. Holder that he is expressly allied with the New Black Panther party, when he famously said that the mere existence of the case demeans 'my people'.

Obama's own speech shows that he is an advocate for global governance. When abroad on November the 9th, 2010, he stated that "There is going to be a tug-of-war within the US between those who see globalization as a threat and those who accept we live in a open integrated world, which has challenges and opportunities." This particular allegiance can safely be marked as 'confirmed' by his own words. His actions mirror his words, as well: He pushed for the Law of the Sea Treaty, which empowers the UN to tax all nations, including ours, by seizing royalties nations collect for use of international waters near their borders. This is but one egregious example, there are many more.

Certainly no one can seriously argue, at this juncture, that Obama is not predisposed to socialism. He famously stated, in the Joe the Plumber incident, that he "[thinks] when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody." Most people would define that as a form of socialism, in which wealth is distributed and 'leveled' from those who create it, to those that do not. Then, of course, we have the infamous 'Obamacare' measure, in which people would be forced to participate in an insurance program that the Administration and it's allies have admitted, would be best run as a single-payer (read: government) program. In other countries, they readily admit that this is Socialized Medicine. Here, in America, the pundits are not so forthcoming.

So, we have seen that Obama has loyalty to a lot of ideologies that America and her citizens have long opposed. When a man is behoven to ideologies over a nation, and over the will of the citizens and contrary to their benefit, he cannot be said to be loyal to that nation.

For nations can endure many setbacks and deprivations, but when it is lead by a man disloyal to that nation’s interest, when he prefers certain ideologies to national loyalty, and when he cedes sovereignty to a global interest, how is a nation to survive that? When the halls of the nations capitols ring with arguments meant to aid external and foreign entities at the cost of a nation, that nation cannot long survive, An enemy army outside the gate is much less fearsome than an enemy ruler, directing our own destruction, inside the gate.

It seems we have such a leader.

Good commentary, Laz. Thanks!

Hear, hear! Especially since we've lately been a source of far too much un-original, irrational discontent... g

I’m hoping to increase my reader-list in the form of the ping list.

May I suggest a unique keyword to tie these articles together, yet not one associated with your some of your more humorous postings.

LAZAMATAZOPED, etc...

Most people would define that as a form of socialism, in which wealth is distributed and 'leveled' from those who create it, to those that do not.

I have come to understand the threat of socialistic progressivism as far more insidious than its economic system which most Americans know how to detect and have an innate aversion to adopting.

Socialism originally redefined the purpose of the government of a state overall.

Where general order, including protection of property and freedom from arbitrary application of power, i.e., equality under a benign "rule of law" was the governmental outline at the time of our founding, this tradition, handed down by the English/Scottish enlightenment was perverted by the later French imitation. Jumping beyond that minimal Order for freedom to become ordered liberty is where the misstep occurs.

Government became a rationalistic animal with purposes of a rationalistic nature with goals of its own by definition. These goals, whether expressed as Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity or as any of the other utilitarian catch phrases, has been an alluring tool to the mildly educated -- let us have General Will and all the good that shall come of it.

This unlimited, Utopian vision of the purpose of government is the true foe -- not just the economic systems spawned to fund such an infinite engine.

In the USA, this has been facilitated by our history as a ground breaking people. We were first animated by our colonial isolation and freedoms which became enshrined in our animating document, the Declaration. We then had a Founding document, the Constitution. We have always striven to have the later achieve the general principles set forth in the former as political allowable by prudent properly adopted reform -- Burkian Conservatism. When the changes have been drastic, civil war followed or was required.

Our media and academic culture have perverted the vision of the nominal purposes of government, first and foremost. While people know to watch for the socialist economic model as foreign and poisonous, those slip in anyway as inevitable once the general purpose of government has been thwarted with adoption of General Will rationalistic programs.

Big Giant Head

How come everyone has a cool screen name but me?

What? Your name is world wide famous, notorious, infamous, and is synomymous with the age-old male tradition of chasing females and attempting to hit them.

Mine is my real name. Friends call me Mr. Big. Unless they’re not good friends.
