Let me ask you something important.

Do think your candidate, Mitt Romney, without any of his political consultants and lawyers to tell him what to say, could last twelve days, or even twelve hours, in a conservative forum like Free Republic, much less twelve years like Tom Hoefling has?

Free Republic has self selected over the last few years to a population which represents a fringe of a fringe of a fringe of a fringe.

You are correct that Mitt Romney would not last a day once the harpies and the viking kitties got wind of his presence.

But likewise any candidate who publicly expresses only those opinions which are Received Wisdom here on FR would be lucky to get three percent of the vote in any national election.

I've been involved in politics as a conservative activist for more than twenty years, at all levels, and in most parts of the country.

As is common knowledge, especially at FR, I was for a number of years closely associated with former Reagan Administration official Dr. Alan Keyes. This fact is part of my official bio at my primary campaign website. It's hardly a secret.

Until 2008, both Alan Keyes and myself were Republicans.

In 2008, I, along with many principled Reagan conservatives from across the land, founded America's Independent Party, a name since shortened to simply America's Party.

So, as has been explained to you repeatedly, your claims are simply false.

Why would I run away from the facts of my association with a great American patriot like Alan Keyes?

If I was stupid enough to want to run away from, or hide, such an association, why would it be in my official bio?

The fact that you criticize if I mention Alan, or if I don't, makes it obvious that your motive is nothing more than to launch silly, juvenile personal attacks.

It's hard for me to see much of a difference between folks like you and Alinskyite Democrats, frankly.

Thanks for finally coming clean, but I'm a bit shocked it took you so long. I guess you knew you were going to get nailed if you didn't fess up.

You could have said this the first time I claimed you were mixed up with Keyes and his parties and this would never have been an issue.

It's pretty simple.

In Roe v. Wade, even Blackmun admitted that if the "fetus" is a person "of course" they are protected by the explicit, imperative provisions of our Constitution.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Since it is self-evident that they are persons, my first act after taking the oath would be to issue a presidential finding to that effect. Then I would instruct all officers under my authority to immediately begin acting accordingly, in strict compliance with the Supreme Law of the Land and their sacred oaths to support it.

Doing so is the raison d'etre of government, all government, according to the self-evident truth asserted by our founders.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men..."
