>> Responding to a question about how she feels about [Obama and Romney], Rivers promptly replied, “Both idiots.”

Although I don’t agree with JR on much, I’m having a tough time disputing her judgment on *this* question.

I’ll point this out. Thanks to MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and Fox....you know over sixty political figures by name and face. In 1969...you might have been able to recognize your governor, the President, and maybe one senator.

You have neighbors now who watch ten hours of C-SPAN a day, and want to debrief you each weekend over various national topics.

You have actors, comedians and singers who want you to personally know that they really are very political in nature....then they wonder why they lose fifty percent of their audience over the next year.

Finally, we start to find high school unions to be political chat sessions. We start to find church to be filled with political topic episodes. And we start to even have our dentist chat on political topics....at the most inopportune time.

There’s something wrong here, but you really can’t fix it.

We used to watch her every friday night (”Fashion Police”)
without fail. We overlooked her intermittent pornographic humor and that took some effort.

She lost us as soon as she made fun of Jesus.

We don’t even say her name in our house any more.

She talks like a pig.

We’re going to hear a LOT of people saying some form of “they’re both bad” in the next 5 months. This will be their excuse for voting for the Zero.

translation

“I cannot lie about 0bama with a straight face anymore, however I work at E! and if I don’t throw in Romney, eventhough I don’t really know much about him, I might be thrown out on my ass and at my age, I might not get another gig as good as this.”

I can criticize Romney for a slew of things, but he is far from an idiot, and Rivers is showing her ignorance in this commentary. Although at times she has been included on list of Hollywood Republicans, I just think she is yet another clueless out of touch wealthy Hollywood elitist. She has no clue how a typical American citizen is faring in the economy...now or 6 years ago when we were doing quite well in the Bush era and all of Hollywood deemed the economy bad.

Like so many others, Rivers needs to STFU.

Don't care much for Joan Rivers, but she sure nailed it on this one. We are in deep trouble, and no statesman exists with the proper value system to lead us out of trouble. Only the consequences remain.

“Her second marriage was on July 15, 1965[38] to Edgar Rosenberg, who committed suicide in 1987.”

From Wikipedia. I have a problem taking people seriously that drive their spouses to suicide.
