"I think it's a very important question because I think this is the first African-American president. We've never had a white president been told by the opposing party to shut up in the middle of a major address to the Congress. We've never had a president like this heckled so disrespectfully. We've never had this otherness afforded to any other president and I think the right wing has some explaining to do because to me it's patently obvious," he said.

I think Julian Epstein has some explaining to do, as nothing he said in this exchange makes any sense at all.
He is the first biracial president - not the first AA president. He is as much white as he is black. And I’m not racist - I hate his white half, too!
The lame leftist meme that racial animosity is the reason anyone (white) opposes Obama, is patently absurd. This too will cause a backlash in whites that voted for Obama, now see it was a mistake and oppose him. Being told by some liberal elite that, essentially, you’re a racist if you don’t vote for this failure of a president won’t sit well with many Americans sick of Obama’s surrogates using his half-African race as a justification to vote for him.
