About 13,000 Sacramento County Democrats shun Obama
The Sacramento Bee ^ | June 12, 2012 | By Phillip Reese

Posted on 06/23/2012 3:44:32 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

President Barack Obama was the only choice on the ballot for the 85,000 Sacramento County Democrats and 5,000 decline-to-state voters who took Democratic ballots during last Tuesday's primary. But about 8,000 of those voters left their presidential ballots blank, and another 5,300 scribbled in a write-in candidate.

The Democrats who shunned Obama were largely concentrated in conservative parts of the county, particularly Orangevale, Citrus Heights and the rural outskirts.

Democrats were about three times more likely to not pick a candidate or write someone in than Republicans in Tuesday's election, though the Republican ballot featured several alternatives to Mitt Romney.

Democrats were also more likely to not choose a candidate or write someone in during this primary than during the hotly-contested 2008 Democratic primary.

If there's one bright spot for Obama, it's that more Sacramento County Republican voters picked no one or wrote in a candidate during the 2004 Republican primary when George W. Bush was the only candidate on the ballot.

Obama is heavily favored to win Sacramento County and the rest of California in November.

This [interactive] map shows the proportion of Democratic primary ballots where voters picked no one or wrote in a choice for president.

The bitter truth is that Democrats have suffered over the past four years as much as Republicans. Some are smart enough to realize that Hillary would have been a better choice in 2008. My guess is that in November....this group in Sacramento will find a third-party person to vote for....and at any rate...it’s still a vote against the President.

Regardless, Sacramento County and California statewide hasn’t voted Republican for President since 1988.

Forgot to mention the “Split Your Prison Paycheck with Obama”. That one should put him over the top, for sure!

Not so sure anymore, but it is quickly reaching the point where the Democrats will have to dump this guy if they want a chance to have a Dem in the White House.

Obama is running against a republican that half of us Republicans don’t like and he is still bleeding votes.

But the LSM would have to make the racist claim against Democrats. It seems like the media shills have a real problem on their hands here. Which side of the Democrat coin do they push with their propaganda?

The same thing happened in Pennsylvania—a lot of Dems not voting for Obama in the primary.

A Breitbart article about the PA primary:

Is YOUR Democratic politician going to the Democratic convention? "Because we’re getting quite a list going of Democrats who are too frightened of being associated with the President to want to go to an Obama-dominated convention (or, as Michelle Malkin rather elegantly put it, the upcoming “Tarheel trainwreck“). So far…".......

I think the real story this shows is that Dems are frustrated and will choose to sit out this election. That is just as bad for Ozer0 as voting for Mitt. It can make a purple state go red, and will put light blue states in play that 0zer0 wouldn’t normally have to worry about. Case in point, I just saw my first 0zer0 commercials on TV last night... in Southern California. The internal polling for 0zer0 must be shockingly worrisome.

Then there will be the "Automatically allocate 10% of your SNAP purchases to the Obama campaign"...

My Representative is Steny Hoyer and my Senators are Mikulski and Cardin. They will all be there I am sure even though it might be hard to get Steny’s head out of Pelosi’s bottom long enough to recognise him.

Actually, the voter fraud machine has been well oiled and firmly in place since 1988.

When we lived in California, and we went into the polling place to vote and asked for Republican ballots, the women turned to each other and whispered, "They're REPUBLICANS!!!!!" Hello! We're standing RIGHT HERE, and we're old but not deaf!

We lived there when the boxes and boxes of Republican voted ballots were found floating, uncounted, in San Francisco Bay.

The fix is in in California, and the good, conservative people there are being defrauded at each election.
