Ahaaaa! Ahaaaa! So this is all Israel's doing, for not having one of their F-4s that they no longer have available to be shot down. We demand that Israel stop deceiving the world and conceiling it secret cache of F-4s, and violate Syrian air space immediately! That's the only way to avoid war at this point. If Israel refuses, they will only be pushing us onto the brink of war! After that, we can begin to negotiate the return of the Golan.
Yours, etc.
Bashar El Assad
PS: This is not a Latma TV spoof. This is reality! Just ask my new minister of unrestrained anger, Tawil Fadicha.

>>owever, military observers note that Israel retired its last F-4 Phantom jet the type of jet shot down by Syria - in 2004.<<
News travels slowly when you get it all from the mosque.

Here is a clue for you clowns in Syria.
The Israeli jet is the one that you don’t see or hear until after they have already decimated your air defense capabilities.
One jet on radar before anything of yours have been destroyed - NOT Israeli.

If it had been IAF the military targets in the region would have been blown to hell before the shot down Israeli plane hit the ground.
The Syrians knew damn well who's aircraft it was and the Turks used to be known as fearsome warriors and it is beyond me why The Turkish Army ain't right now stomping Assad's guts out...has to be the increasing Islamist influence in Turkey.
...wherever the Evil Islamists take hold of a country soldiers no longer fight face to face—no, they become cowardly terrorists, dishonorable assassins and mass murderers of innocent women and children

I just discovered Latma TV on youtube, must have been a link from FReepers. Unbelievably funny stuff!
So, Latma TV is a counter to predominantly left Israeli TV? Honestly, I don’t understand liberals. You’d think that in Israel, surrounded by bloodthirsty enemies and jihadi murderers in their very midst, that liberals there would be just a teensy bit more realistic.
Anyway, “Jihad Bells” is an absolute hoot! And the lovely Ronit as the liberal foil who almost believed that “global warming” had submerged all of Tel Aviv including her car.
The Palestinian Minister for Perpetual Rage is priceless!

They were Islamists then and are becoming Islamists now—for a while between these periods they were almost civilized.

The Syrians knew damn well who's aircraft it was and the Turks used to be known as fearsome warriors and it is beyond me why The Turkish Army ain't right now stomping Assad's guts out...has to be the increasing Islamist influence in Turkey.Turkey's Islamist government has hand-picked Muslim Brotherhood figures to lead the Syrian rebels. They'd love to help the Syrians rebels in any way they can. But wars are expensive, and Turkey's record against its Kurdish rebels isn't all that impressive - the kill ratio is something like 2 to 1, which stinks given that they are fighting against lightly-armed rebels equipped with battle rifles and RPG's. Turks are reputed to be brave fighters, but skill-wise, they really stink. An incursion into Syria would cost them billions of dollars in equipment and supply expenditures they cannot afford. That surveillance mission by the F-4 alone ended in a $20m write-off. The one thing guaranteed to result in a defeat for Erdogan at the polls is thousands of Turkish body bags coming home from Syria.

That is why the jets come in to finish the job. Decimation is the initial condition before you can even expect to see or hear the jets.

Syria knew it was a Turkish jet: intel
"We have recordings of the Syrian dialogues before and after," a Turkish intelligence officer said. "They refer to our jet as 'komşu' [neighbor]. They use the Turkish word, and then they use the Arabic word for plane."
The jet already had its identification, friend or foe (IFF) system turned on, allowing it to be recognized by others, another official added.

They need to hire away Jay Carney from Obama.
Carney would have convinced Turkey that Syria thought the Jet was Air Force One.
