I agree the Pinto was a POS, but give me a call whenever the Japanese make an equivalent to my F-350 DRW...That's the point...Nissan and Toyota got into the large truck market late because Ford and GMC made and still makes a fine truck and that large truck market would have been very difficult to penetrate...
Nissan and Toyota paved the way for a smaller truck market though..
My first truck was a 1988 Nissan King Cab pickup truck....Ford nor Chevy made something even remotely similar..The truck was a gem...
$8,800 brand new....sold it 11 years later for $4,400 with 111,000 mile on..
Try that with ANY American made vehicle

No it isn’t!
What the Japs call “large trucks” are merely (sort of) full sized trucks.
I’ll admit, if I was in the market for an F-150 class vehicle, I’d give Toyota Tundra a close look.
For higher GVWR vehicles, there is NOTHING out of Japan.
NOTHING.

I know someone who has a 1976 Gremlin in showroom condition (original owner) The guy is so tight he squeaks, I doubt he’s done much more than routine maintanence and kept the car garaged

Photos show a clear view through what remains of the floor to the road below. I saw many motorcycles with the same unsafe condition.
Better haul them all in until they can install solid floor boards.

I used that once when a friend and I were discussing his new firearm. A Lib woman overheard the conversation and said “Guns, uhgggg!” I replied with the Ted Kennedy line and she was dumbfounded.

Gee it’s amazing how too many dimwits here on this thread have sunk to jumping on the Obama bash Americans band wagon.

Oooh, infinitely. Thanks for asking.
Venting on FR is kinda like farting. It may offend those around you but so what, as long as *you* feel better.
(You aren’t offended are you? Because that would steal 1/2 of one percent of my joy, and I’ll have to make that up on the next comment.)
Just joking, and FRegards

Ever been to Taiwan and seen how many family members will fit on a “scooter”? Amazing, and scary.

Four more years of Obama, and that will be considered a luxury car here in the US.

As in, Ted Kennedy killed more people with his Oldsmobile than I have with this gun.
I remember back in the 70’s driving around in my Ford 4x4 with two of my Rifles in the Gun Rack. Used to go up Angeles Crest Highway to go target shooting. Never a hassle.
Now people faint when they see a Gun, and the Libtards in Sacramento are doing their best to make sure nobody ever sees one, except on a Cop or on TV.

Reminds me of this classic from the Nat'l Lampoon. There is a Pinto car club. They did run good and get decent mileage, but were terrible rust buckets.
