Swing and a Miss. And a Miss. And a Miss. [Vanity]

Nobody has a lock on predicting the future, especially your humble author. There are certain things and certain events I expected, that did not materialize (yet).

After the Occupy Wall Street protests last year, I fully expected a mass mobilization -- much larger this time -- of the same movement. I was sure they would be co-opted by the Marxists and Obama (but, I repeat myself). I thought the movement would be made more violent, on purpose, to give Obama a chance to either show leadership by taking them down, or to discourage voting in November, or even possibly to declare a national emergency and rule by diktat.

This doesn't seem to be materializing. It may still come to pass, but at this stage, it won't have as much time to make a large impact. I was wrong.

I also thought Donald Trump was a mole, saying things that would appeal to conservatives. The Democrats would then run him as a third-party, in the fashion of Ross Perot, to siphon off conservative votes and deliver the Presidency to Obama for the terminal second term.

It's too late for Donald to mount a meaningful run, yet he's still going out on network news and political shows, and taking Obama to task for his absurd and outright-Marxist positions and comments. I was wrong.

I won't even go into the debacle of the Obamacare Supreme Court decision, except to remark I was completely, utterly wrong.

Now that I have established my credentials, this is how I see the political season unfolding:

1) I expect Obama to start a war with Syria or Iran, and time it so that the historical peak of Presidential popularity overlaps perfectly with the vote in November.

2) Should Obama lose, I expect he will so misuse the Presidential Pardon, that there will be a hue and cry for it to be limited. Obama could even go as far as pardoning every felon in America, just to cause problems and chaos.

3) Should Obama win, I expect that there will be no more elections, for any position whatsoever, within one to two years. He will overthrow the system.

most can’t think beyond checkers level of planning.

Yep. Most grand conspiracy theories are crap. But they are fun to read.

I *will* grant that cohorts of people will appear to act together. The media is an excellent example of this - people, FReepers especially, love to ascribe some grand plan controlled by a scant handful of media puppetmasters to torpedo conservative pols, etc....

I doubt it. At best, the media is populated by a bunch of like-thinking, mostly dumb and/or foolish people who mostly agree with each other, and who act as one because they don't know any better, or it's just in their own best interests.

Most massive conspiracy theories are in that vein, IMHO. And, as far as the media is concerned, if some newsreader gave me directions to the bathroom, I'd likely get a second opinion.

A president cannot pardon criminals convicted for state crimes.........

Excellent point, and one I missed. Alright, FEDERAL felons get a mass-pardon.

If he could pardon state criminals, Jerry Sandusky would probably be at the top of the list ... especially if PA goes GOP ...

Naw, the OWLs are too lazy to work so they’re too lazy to stage anything more energetic on the whole than a sit in.

I want to believe Trump is doing a good deed but he’s wishy washy. Perhaps he can’t go all out since he’s subject to financial investigation by Obama thugs.

I knew the Supremes would pass ObamaCare but I never thought it would have been Roberts to stab us in the back.

I don’t think “they” care who wins. They already have their people in key positions thoughout the maze of government departments so it doesn’t matter who wins in November. Besides, it’s not like we have much of a choice - Obama vs Obama-lite. The GOP has made an effort the past two times (actually three) to run a RINO. As things stand today, we have a one party system.

Yes, Hussein will pardon every criminal he can and EO everything he can to destroy America before he’s shown the door. He’ll throw childish hissy fits, stomp his feet and threaten to hold his breath until he turns blue and Moochelle’s face will sport even more ugly snarls. Oh, to be a fly on the wall the next few months.

But a war with Iran or Syria could cause 0bama to suspend elections for public safety reasons or some such crap. Who would stop him?

One would expect the Congress (House controlled by Republicans) would easily stop such a move in its tracks.

There is no precedent for suspending elections in this country. Remember that we've had two world wars and a Civil War and elections went on as always.

Any talk of "suspending elections" from Obama would likely result in the biggest landslide defeat (of Obama) in electoral history.

Don't feel too bad about being wrong. If I'm not wrong at least once a day, there must be something wrong.

1. Your wrong. Obama is no warrior - more like a skunk. He intends to try to steal the election at the polls & in the courts.

2. You are right. If he fails to pardon Mumia Abu-Jamal by the end of his administration I will kiss your aunt Fanny. I also agree Congress & the people will scream loudly about limiting this power, but it is written into the Constitution, so nothing will be done.

3. I disagree, again. If Obama wins in November, it will signal that the voting majority is satisfied with big gov’t & cradle to grave entitlements, based on class warfare. We will be, in effect, another Central American corruptocracy. No need to cancel elections when it is so easy to fool the people and/or rig the elections, giving a large measure of legitimacy an unelected dictator lacks. Sham democracies have been doing it for decades. If Americans cannot or will not see the disaster that is Obama, then we are doomed to tyranny & continued decline, elections or no elections.

I don’t even want to guess how much trouble there will be in our immediate future. Too depressing.

But I will say that the fading of the OWS doesn’t surprise me. They started that much too soon. I have several liberal inlaws who were enthusiastically involved, and they became discouraged because, as they saw it, political operatives of whom they disapproved tried to take over the movement. They were too dumb to understand that political operatives started and funded it in the first place, but they did get discouraged and dropped out.

We may still have riots this summer, but they’ll have to find a new excuse.

I think that winning the coming civil war is our best hope at this point.
A hope exponential orders of magnitude more worthy of effort than voting for Romney in the (unjustified by his record) hope that he would govern differently than Obama.

I will be voting for Virgil Goode. Not a perfect candidate by any measure, but one that at least meets the minimum requirements of not having supported abortion, advancement of homosexuality, and government control of health care every time he was in office.

You take the best you can get.

There is a dark spiritual dimension to Obama and the globalists that makes anything possible. These people have disdain for honor, ethics/morals, freedom, human dignity, human life, etc. America, being the symbol of all that is in the cross hairs.

They are attempting to bring us under control through demoralization - collapsing the economy (stripping us of the independence that property and wealth afford)and socializing/controlling life and death, foreign invasion, self defense, cultural cleansing/brain washing, micro-chipping us like animals, racism, violating our rights, treating good as evil and evil as good, undermining our food supply and military, anti-Christian forces, etc.

I don't think there is a central human mind working this and that is where the spooky aspect of the Obama and the globalist personality comes into play. The American people are acting spooky, too with the ‘zombie’ behavior of individuals and mobs out for blood, over the top language of hate and rage, and a blatant element of Satanism flaunting itself in the pop culture. It feels to me like spiritual dark forces at work.

All this is for some change of a dark, demoralizing variety which is coming up ahead.

Oh, Lazz, you're more clairvoyant than you realize.

Several recent threads right here on FR have established the facts of the following:

1. There WILL be civil unrest at the RNC Convention here in Tampa, and local Leftist leaders have taken steps to try and facilitate it;

2. Internet and blog traffic on Leftist sites indicates there will be a mass invasion of Tampa, with predictions of the horde numbering as high as 10,000;

3. Leftist Internet traffic confirms that the invaders are preparing to use violence, to include training on how to construct incendiary devices and use them against LEO's.

4. The horde descending on Tampa next month is said to include OWS'ers, feral black flash mobs, and SDS-like student rallies.

My FRiend, this is just one taste of the terror that is about to be visited upon us.

Even when the conspirators think they have everything in hand, the law of unintended consequences will surely foil their(my) most diabolical plans.

One thing the anti-America Obama zombie crowds (and puppet masters) don’t count on, because most of them don’t even believe He exists, is Gods hand in all of this.

And THAT is the only thing giving me hope. HE is still in control. Satan will NEVER win.

"I’m still not 100% convinced that there will be an election in November."

I read this exact thing multiple times in 2000 when many believed Clinton would find a way to hang on to the presidency.

Didn't happen then and won't happen now.

I'm aware of that.

I'm a lot closer to believing that there will be an election--but I'm not all the way there yet.

There will always be elections. Heck Saddam held elections in Iraq.

Elections maybe be rigged and a sham, but there will be elections.

“Swing and a Miss?” Not at all. You’ve got some good conversations going, and people are thinking about what has happened and speculating about what will happen.

I’d say that this one is a hit, my friend.
