After one of the men yelled, telling the patrons not to move, the video shows patron Samuel Williams approach the armed suspect and start shooting.

Investigators said Smith struck DuWayne Henderson, 19, of Ocala three times, twice in the buttocks and once in the arm. Davis Dawkins, 19, was struck in the upper chest.

The men then fled the building, leaving a trail of blood behind.

This one ended well, but Williams was lucky.

He fired at one of the perpetrators while an innocent bystander was standing right behind or near the perp. It was at close range, so there was slightly less risk. But, he put the other patron in additional danger.

Williams also continued to shoot at the perps as they ran, even after they got out the first door onto the street (or sidewalk?). Had one of those shots been fatal, an overzealous prosecutor could have argued that it was unnecessary.

It seems to me that Mr. Williams needs a larger caliber gun and some range time.

Wow, after reading the article it states the guy that was carrying the bat has bonded out of jail! How can that be? How can a guy who was participating in an armed robbery be bonded out of jail?

Well, once they were running away there was no need to keep shooting and he MAY get into trouble with a jury about that- but not if I was sitting on it

Mr Williams may very well have saved some lives here...Who knows if these wild Negros would have ended up killing someone. They went for an easy score and lost...it is to bad they aren't laying out dead in the local morgue.

Isn’t this the story we had yesterday?

Typical idiot writer apparently. Calls it a casino and then refers to the Palms Internet Cafe....
