I was on the day that Laz got “ransomed”.
I guess he was banned for some reason,
and someone offered to donate a large amount in a FReepathon to bail him out.

Apparently you ignored the content of the post to which I was responding.

But as long as you feel good about yourself, I am happy to have helped.

An article said that he got a government grant to pursue his PHD and a few moviegoers in his spare time. From this I would say that we paid for his firearms and ammo. The really sad thing is that the only man who could see that this guy wasn’t right turned out to not be law enforcement, mental health professionals, college professors, or counselors, but the guy that he applied for a membership to a shooting range. In other words, a normal citizen used common sense. Kind of unusual in this world, but I was taught that it was important to have in the grand scheme of things.

The 911 terrorists while in flight school were only interested in flying an aircraft but had no desire to learn how to land.

Remember that oldie but goodie red flag?

Also helpful when you’re scribbling a lot of notes longhand, like making an inventory.

Nothing like getting back to your desk after a day in the field, pulling out your notes (usually scribbled on a legal pad), and repeatedly asking yourself “Is that a seven, a two, a Z...??????”

The big thing about BPD patients is they refuse to believe their diagnosis. They just walk away from it.

Not always. An ex girlfriend of mine had BPD. She not only believed it, she was proud of it. And... it worked to get her what she wanted. She could do anything and blame the 'disease'.

involve a lengthy history of stormy interpersonal conflicts and contacts with social agencies and/or law enforcement with impulsive acts

AND...she was proud of those impulsive acts, as well.

Agree with what you say. Not at all unusual for patients with personality disorders to take pride in the condition, and as you say, skip personal responsibility and blame the disorder. But some, like narcissists, don’t do this and would never view themselves or their behavior as being flawed in any way.

A short time on the Houston 610loop will give you the same conclusion.

Especially if you are a spotter for an artillery assault.

Ooooo, I’d say that your ex had a narcissistic subset!

What a joy she must have been to be around.

"That also struck me as very, very strange,” Rotkovich said. “Who says ‘Cheers?’”

It's a generational thing related to the Internet. I remember the first time I saw somebody sign off a bulletin board with that it struck me as strange. Now it's quite familiar and I've even done it myself.

When we first started sending all the messages, it wasn't clear just how we were supposed to do it. Do we start with "Dear" or Hi" or just a name or nothing? Do we close with "Sincerely" (which sounded wrong even in letters) or something else or nothing? "Cheers" or "Best Wishes" or "Regards" were possibilities people came up with on the fly.

Now if it had been "Huzzah and Kudos!" we'd know there was something wrong. (Does that mean we have to keep an eye on Jon Stewart now?)

Yeah, but only about half the time.
