The missing part of our government

I'm tired of being a serf. We, the people, need to return to the olden days by throwing the bums out! AND keep up with what they are doing as well as removing them frequently!

There is more to our government than the folks in Washington. We, the people have a role to play that, in the past we have neglected. We elect representatives to go to Washington and pass laws that will effect our lives, however, we DON'T tell them what to do. We don't tell them how much they have as a salary, where they go for medical, vacations, retirement, etc.

When this nation began, the Congress were considered to be "public servants". They made a meager salary - enough to pay for housing and food, not large enough to become wealthy on. Now, they set their own salaries, have devised their own health care, retirements, and even one had the nerve to demand (and get) her own jet to travel back and forth to California at her whim. With we, the people paying for it all.

I'm tired of being a serf. We, the people, need to return to the olden days by throwing the bums out! AND keep up with what they are doing as well as removing them frequently!

The only way short of revolution to regain control is to strip the federal “gangsta” of all ability to raise funds from us. The states should all have balanced budget ammendments with precise financial accounting, no smoke and mirror change the formula BS, and then fund with surpluses any federal endeavors we approve.. This was the intention of the founding fathers in the constitution..

The federal government needs to be abolished as it is, by this financial reversal..no taxes, zero nada, zip..put the emphasis back on we the people..

Long ago I lived in a picturesque German village on a small mountain.

The ancient stone houses and barns of the farmers surrounded the hill.

One day I hiked to the top and saw the massive stone foundations of the old castle. That’s all that was left...the foundations.

When I went to her barn to buy fresh milk, I asked Frau Anna what happened to the castle. She replied, “The nobles in the castle taxed and oppressed the peasants so badly that one day the people all stormed the castle at once. They killed the nobles and their families. Then, the peasants took the stones to build their houses and barns”.

I looked around me at Frau Anna’s stone barn and realized that it was made from the remains of the castle.

Thus endeth the lesson.
