Bucking her tea party predilection yet again this cycle, Sarah Palin on Monday endorsed Republican Rep. Jeff Flake over Wil Cardon in the Arizona Senate primary.
Palin earlier this year rankled tea partiers when she chose to back sitting Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch over tea party challenger former state Sen. Dan Liljenquist. Hatch easily bested Liljenquist in the June 26 primary.

Secondly patrolling the border and repelling invaders is an act of the defense of of our Nation. It is not a law enforcement action such as interdicting vehicles, vessels, and aircraft; conducting surveillance, searches, pursuit and seizures; or making arrests on behalf of civilian law enforcement authorities. Thirdly the Congress could specifically the Armed Forces to do this also.
Once again Unlawful is not Unconstitutional and your comment was that it was Unconstitutional.
It seems to me the key to using the armed forces is that Congress has authority whether or not this is to be done. I don’t see much support in Congress for such. Congresspersons have other priorities than keeping the USA in accord with the Founders intent i.e. getting campaign funds from Mexican and Muslim contributors.
Link?
As the act very plainly states, if it is not authorized by the constitution, (and it is not) it is unconstitutional.
June 18, 1878
CHAP. 263 - An act making appropriations for the support of the Army for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, and for other purposes.
SEC. 15. From and after the passage of this act it shall not be lawful to employ any part of the Army of the United States, as a posse comitatus, or otherwise, for the purpose of executing the laws, except in such cases and under such circumstances as such employment of said force may be expressly authorized by the Constitution or by act of Congress;
With all due respect, you’re contradicting yourself. An act of Congress is not an amendment of the Constitution. It’s not unconstitutional, therefore, but requires such an act as Mr. Flake voted against.
Pro-life is great, weak on borders is a non-starter.
Is Cardon up to the task of second tier but viable rat Bitchard Carmona?
You mean MT, we already have WY. ;)
NM, I saw your post on Cardon’s sizable kitty. But I don’t know it seems like a risk.
And Flake may have a flake or 2 on his record him but some random guy could turn out to be anything. I hate having nothing to go on but a guy’s word.

we have already had Guard units on border that is military
it is apparently legal for Guard
there is also Task Pressure force which uses Marines and others
look like military on border is a limited fait accompli
we did this in 1917.... my grandpa was there
after the Columbus raid
I’ve heard scattered complaints that Cardon is no different (if not worse) than Flake on border issues. I simply don’t know. It’s why I haven’t endorsed him.
Pure BS really from your own post. Right after it referws to the constitution it refers to Congress so you are full of your own BS.
Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress,”
Let me add that we have plenty of examples of money being insufficient to win a race, McMahon and Fiorina being two.

Poll is on above site.
Also, he’s asking for signatures for Jessica’s law.
Speaking of McMahon, she’s reportedly gonna cream Shays in the primary and he says he won’t support her in November.
Sadly the Government does not want to do what is its most important job, provide for the common defence.
We routinely use our military on the border with Mexico, but not in an armed/patrolling mode. They build things like the fence and roads, and they monitor sensors.
FWIW, I’d like to see them used in a border guard role. The problem is to figure out how lethal they can be allowed to be.
What has me really perplexed me is that Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever has endorsed Jeff Flake. I’m scratching my head over that one....
“...(Palin) has held off the Run until she has built her base as Reagan did.”
Or maybe she is just another sell out. I live in AZ and I am sick of her endorsing candidates we are trying to get rid of; McCain, Flake. When it comes to Arizona, she should shut the hell up!
