With LOST dead, the new treaties being promoted to take its place include the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Disabled, which calls for government agents to supersede the authority of parents of disabled children and even covers abortion.
Also, the Obama administration has begun negotiations on a new U.N. treaty to create international gun control rules that could slowly erode our Second Amendment.
The globalist ideologues behind these treaties are either ignorant of or hostile to the universal human experience that problems are best solved by the people and institutions closest to them.
So assured are these masters of their mandate to direct the lives and wealth of other people that they see their routine failures to do so efficiently at the local, state and national level merely as reason to ascend to new heights of international command and control.
Our nation's founders understood this hubristic temptation of public officials. Thomas Jefferson stated in his inaugural address the principle of "peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none."
Instead, America sought to constrain our actions within the confines of the consent of the people. It is this measure of accountability that fetters both policymaking and policymakers. This is precisely why internationalists prefer to elevate authority wherever possible above democratic accountability.
This explains the feverish effort to join the United States to so many international treaties and conventions on every subject under the sun. It is a backdoor effort to impose extreme liberal policies on Americans who would never vote for them if given the choice.

Senator Kerry: We’ll Pass the CRPD by July 26

Senator John Kerry announced yesterday that he plans to pass the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities before July 26—just 13 days from today. He has scheduled a formal committee vote next Thursday—July 19. This is an unprecedented attempt to jam a binding international treaty through the Senate without proper time for debate or consideration.
Yesterday’s “hearing” was a carefully orchestrated attempt to get this treaty ratified without any serious consideration.
There were nine total witnesses. Only two people opposed to the treaty were allowed to testify —Steven Groves from Heritage Foundation and me.
False Ideas
The administration seeks to promote two ideas that are simply inaccurate: 1. Disabled Americans who travel overseas will directly benefit by U.S. ratification of this treaty; 2. Ratifying a treaty does not require us to comply with international law.
They are arguing that a treaty is an empty promise with no actual substance. The Supremacy Clause of the Constitution makes it clear that the administration is wrong. Treaties form a part of the Supreme Law of the Land once ratified.
And no one even attempted a serious answer to our core parental rights concern.
Article 7 of the UNCRPD gives government the ability to override every decision of a parent of disabled children if the government thinks that its views are in “the best interest of the child.”
Parental Rights at Stake
This is a radical attempt to take away parental rights. Make no mistake—if they succeed at ratifying this treaty, the Convention on the Rights of the Child is next. This is not a battle just for parents with disabled and special needs children. This is a battle for every parent.
We absolutely must flood the U.S. Senate with phone calls. Senator Durbin mentioned that they were hearing from homeschoolers (and he was annoyed at us for voicing our opinion of his side’s planned assault on parental rights.) But, we need to do even more.
This is the most important issue that we will face this year. By July 26—up or down—we will either take another step toward becoming the subjects of a world government or we will preserve our rights as American citizens.See:

Good for them and we need to stay on top of all of these.
Since when did so many U.N. treaties get put forth in such a short time with the obvious negative impact they would have on U.S. sovereignty????
I think they understand what we do - that our president is a weak one and would cave to international demands that would diminish or eliminate U.S. power in many key areas. And the U.S., being the leader of the free world, would honor a U.N. treaty if it was agreed to. (Look at every treaty that involved bad actors, they have ALL been violated).
I think this is a last ditch effort to get the U.S. to cave while they still have the weak 0bama in office.

The rats know time is running out. Get it done by the end of the year or it won't get done at all.

Duh, does that include Members and former Members of our Federal 3 branches of Government in DC that have mental disabilities such as Kerry, Reid, Pelosi, Roberts, Dodd, Frank, Obama - - - - - ?
BTW, what “rights” do mentally disabled politicians have? [No, two wrongs do not make a right!]
