Frankly, Pat, you need to tell him what you told us.

Say it matter of factly, without emotion, and it will be up to him to decide if you’re being truthful or not. I could see how he’d be mistaken by the idea some of the pols are there because you asked them to, but tell him you knew nothing of that. If he decides you aren’t being honest after that, then he’s just not being fair.

One reason why the press is all over this is that Romney basically called Brian Williams a boring white guy.

That stung Williams, NBC, and the entire MSM news bureaus.

Their playing up this supposed Romney gaffe is their method of retaliation.

The only fly in the ointment is that ozero’s handlers,in this case tiny time, Bernanke others have staged things to blow up in the second term regardless of who is in charge.
If the regime remains in charge its still someone else’s fault and the only solution remains more govt., more destruction of capitalism, more debt.etc., etc. If we are in charge guess who gets the blame.

Wow, good point about the majority of Illinois voting against OBama but the big urban areas wipe out the sane ones.

The Wilmington Bishop has been sending out letters, issuing press releases, in short there’s a push to get the Catholics around here thinking.

Some audience members booed at the mention of....TADA....who? JOE BIDEN! Remembering please he’s OUR guy, going on TV every Ash Wednesday to ostentatiously show his ashes, favoring abortion....and some shouted out about Nancy Pelosi.

It was a great night, Father Sam’s attack on me notwithstanding.

" We need ABC’s ‘This Week” reported on!...A reporter’s badge awaits you!"

A nomination to sainthood might be necessary. It is certainly appropriate for anyone who can put up with Clinton Spokesmanperson Snuffleupagus.

Their playing up this supposed Romney gaffe is their method of retaliation.

Bottom line.

Problem for the DBM is that when Romney becomes potus they are in jeopardy of not getting access. Kill their access and they will have to make stuff up even more than they already do. Never as good as the real truth.

You’re lucky, actually. Our priest won’t mention it at all. Old Father Fran retired at 91 years old back in Octber, and now we have a new priest, Father Charles, a young, spry 72 year old.

Father Fran was a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, he even had a picture of George W Bush in the rectory, and spoke his mind about issues. Farther Charles, now, he won’t. Do note that this part of Alabama I live in is overwhelmingly conservative. Even the few democrats (mostly black) left are conservative.

But Father Charles only mentions that there are masses, etc for “Religious Freedom”. He never defines who is taking religious freedom away... Well, he did mention it as an overseas thing, but never mentions THIS country in that regards.

Well thanks AB. I suppose that the fact that all these politicians showed up, I dunno, Father Sam must have thought I had something to do with it.

We’ll see if the issue comes up again. But let me tell you of another scene, happened that same night.

After the initial shout and the apology, I was walking around, talking to people, that sort of thing. I chance to walk by the politico who just happened to run to fill Mike Castle’s seat in 2008, name is Glen Urquhart. He ran with Christine O’Donnell but didn’t get her notoriety. However Urquhart is a major politician around these parts, now running for a STATE senator position, same election district as my church.

Up to Urquhart walks Father Sam, he throws his arms over Urquhart’s shoulders and loudly talks and jokes around. I was standing by and Father Sam leans over to me and says something to the effect that’s he’s known Urquhart for many years and something about him being an Episcopalian. I dunno, I just dunno. But if Father Sam wanted to avoid politicians what the hey is he doing with all this love of one of Sussex county’s biggest politicos?

Those politicians showed up, as they do for many such events, and there was nothing stopping them. And Father Sam, witness example above but there were more, didn’t avoid them or anything.

You got me. I stand by my assertion that the Catholic church and its members are dealing with this administration’s attack on it and are just, at times, confused and I dunno, worried maybe.

Too much of the church has fallen for Social Justice which is another way of saying communism. It really goes against Christianity since the Word says we are to care for our brothers not the gummit.

Unfortunately the Church doesn’t take a stand against it for fear of losing their Dems.

Pray for America

"The media will claim it was a gaffe but I have not seen anything that said Romney was wrong."

In Liberal LALA Land, speaking the truth is a gaff.

I’ve heard a theme coming from 0zero, Democrats and the media. It’s that we tried Republican policies over the last decade and they didn’t work, and that 0zero’s policies are working but just need more time.

It’s all a lie but the Republicans on TV better learn to counter it so uninformed voters don’t start believing it.

Democrats are trying to destroy capitalism and free markets, not just winning an election. As bray indicated, vote for a free America.

Don’t know if it’s totally true but I did hear the states that are coming out of the recession all have Republican governors.

Father Sam, my nemesis of the hurt feelings, gives astounding lectures from the pulpit, almost a Brother Love type of thing, pounding the wood and mentioning the attack on our faith by “this administration”...he does not mince words. I state this as he is a priest I most admire for his refusal to be cowed. Once HE actually walked out on a mass, along with a bunch of others....I only heard about it but it was reported on the radio. He was mad at the boobs walking out and decided to show his anger.

Father Sam is no wallflower is what I’m saying here.

In fact, after going to a mass that had our other priest presiding, and hearing no mighty rhetoric as from Father Sam, I wrote him an email asking what happened.

Father Sam wrote me back and suggested that I ask the other priest my question as we all know his own self, in Brother Love fashion, didn’t back off the issue.

Heh.

Well I just dunno but it was kind of neat to have all those acquaintances from the Republican party and my co-parishioners at the same place. It’s how I got put on something called the Salt and Light committee to help with voter registration.

And hey, everybody knew me and I will be so shallow as to say it was kind of nice.

But I didn’t plan it.

During the last year or so, I have heard financial experts on the news talkies and seen posts that indicate businesses are holding a lot of cash because they are uncertain of new regulations, etc., under Obama.

I've heard the same from business owners, whenever the subjects of prices or hiring come up, no matter the size of the company, it's always, we don't know ANYTHING until after the election.
