Who is Garrison?

Sorry, my brain broke traction there for a moment. My apologies to Garrison. Roger Williams is indeed Riddle's opponent, supported by the same crowd as Dewhurst. Garrison was one of the primary candidates who didn't make the cut but has endorsed Riddle in the runoff.

I've met Wes. He founded Central TX Tea Party. I don't read him as a hardline Paulista but the southern end of TX25 seems heavily Paul country so I don't think it hurts to have his endorsement.

I guess the most addled-brained smear campaign in the history of Texas politics isn’t going to work out for Dewhurst ...did any of you Texans’ hear that Ted Cruz is a Lawyer? A TRIAL LAWYER?

"...can anyone give me info on anyone else I should vote for tomorrow..."

Vote for Devine for Justice Supreme Court, Place 4. Devine is a strict constitutional constructionist who received national acclaim by refusing to remove a painting of the 10 Commandments from his courtroom and defeated a related lawsuit by liberal activists. Vote for Craddick over Chisum for Railroad Commissioner. When Chisum was asked about the wasteful $2.4 billion demonstration project in Ector County to sequester CO2 to help "global warming", instead of condemning the boondoggle, he replied that “we might as well get the project otherwise it would go to someone else.” Parker is preferred for Railroad Commissioner, unexpired term.

LOL, there was someone on here yesterday that posted a thread supporting Dewhurst, and that is the only thing he had to defend his support. His post started out like a radio seminar caller, and I am not quoting directly, just paraphrasing ... "At first I was going to vote for Cruz .... but OMG, I found out he was a trial lawyer!!!!" It was a pathetic attempt, and nobody bought it.

In Texas, anyone can vote in either primary. However, when you vote in a primary, they stamp your voter registration card with either Republican or Democrat. In run-offs, you have to vote in the same one you voted the first time. You get a new card every year, so you can change in the new year, but once you are stamped, that’s it for the year. I used to vote in the Dem primary because whoever won that was elected in the fall. Thank goodness that no longer applies.

You are very right. I just about screamed at the TV set when I heard Cheney say rotten things about Sarah Palin this weekend on FOX. I don’t know why these old “has beens” have to shoot off their nasty mouths when no one wants to hear from them. They had their time now it’s time for someone else.

Maybe he consulted Mary Cheney’s “wife” before he ripped Sarah. Overall, he was a good VP, but like Bush, he never defended America against the assaults of the left. Sarah always does, to her great credit. Bob

The voter reg. card is for two years, but there is usually no election in the odd year except for constitutional amendments or maybe city elections in some localities.

I voted for Chisum and Smitherman in the primary? Why should I switch? I think Craddick and Smitherman will win the nominations.

Also, I can’t follow what this pitiful ad is actually claiming.

Luckily we both got the GOP mark on our cards @ the Primary. Voted Cruz then and will do the same Tuesday.

The original question related to the scummy TexDem liberals wanting to vote in GOP runoff and voting for DewHurts. Unless they had ESP and if they voted in DEM Primary we don’t have to worry bout em. Sorry DewHurts, desparate again..... what a downer.

You are correct. I early-voted for Ted Cruz in the primary and when I returned last Thursday to again vote for him, I was told I was limited to voting in the Republican Primary, which was fine by me!!
