My wife came and picked me up for lunch at 1100 (early for lunch, but planning ahead). We got to the Chick-Fil-A off of William Penn Drive in Durham about 1110.

The drive-through line was already wrapped around the entire building, and we had to park about four sections out (technically in the next restaurant's over parking lot - it's all a shared parking area) just to find a place to park. When we got into the store, the place was PACKED OUT. I have never seen this restaurant this busy, even at the height of the lunch rush (~1230). The line with five registers running was still all the way out to the entrance. We stood in line for 5-7 minutes to be able to order.

Yet, even with them taking names for your order to play catch up, they still got our food to us in under five minutes. Tons of people making a political statement, and they STILL operated efficiently and professionally. Kudos to Chick-fil-A!

Lots of Durham city and county personnel taking in the food - Fire-Rescue, prison system personnel, Durham Co. Sheriff, even en entire ten-man Durham PD SET team (like SWAT) - only a fool would have tried to rob that store today! Apparently not everybody in the Durham government apparatus has the same views as the left-wing nuts like the mayor and city council members.

When we left the store at 1145, the line was still out the door, and the line for the drive thru was still wrapped around the building. Traffic was so thick people were having trouble getting out of the parking lot for the press.

I came to work this morning, and a fellow employee had stopped by and pick up Chik Fil-A chicken biscuits for breakfast, and was handing them out.

LOL.....it’s “Nationwide”

Big Media must be panicking.

By tomorrow, they’ll probably stop using “gaffe” and “blunder” with owner Cathy in the same paragraph and start telling us that he engineered this evil marketing ploy to make $$ off the backs of poor homosexuals.

Saw some leftist freak all excited to have donated THEIR lunch money today to some gay organization in protest.

We need to stand up for God proudly and loudly!

Elizabethtown, KY.

They had a line at the door when they opened and have mucked up the parking lot of the adjoining mall with their lengthy drive through.

Meanwhile, I snapped this after I enjoyed my meal and was on my way to my car at 11:15, And people were walking up in their fours and 10's as I got into the car:

And it was packed inside. That was not a lunch. It was an event.

Wife unit just texted that she and the grandson were at Chick-fil-A at the mall and business was busy and steady.

We'll be going back for dinner out date.
Romantic, huh?

Easton, MD was packed as well. My office had pre-ordered a tray of nuggets and picked them up at noon. Parking lot was full. Overflow parking lot, which is the size of the main parking lot and building area was full. Inside not a table to be had, and just about every spot to stand was taken. Simply amazing!

Ok, so, I’m out with the parental units for my birthday, and we’re not about to wait in line for an hour. However, Support Chik-fil-A day is a rousing success. I plan on eating there once the furor dies down.

Report from East central Alabama:
Just got back from the local mall Chick-fil-a. I have eaten there many times and have never seen lines this long. The lines were at least 20 times longer than they are on a Friday night. (Chick Fil-A is next to the 12 screen theater)

The store on Orange Avenue in Orlando is overrun. The line in the store is 50 people deep. The line for the drive-thru is wrapped around the building. People are still walking up, knowing they're in for a wait, but nobody is turning away and nobody is complaining. Service is fast, friendly and accurate. Eat your heart out, McDonald's!

Ah... I can see them changing tactics and accusing Cathy of some devious marketing scheme.

The funny thing is, if the left hadn’t attacked CFA, we wouldn’t have defended them.

Charleston, SC representing. The Mt. Pleasant Chick-fil-A at lunch had the drive thru wrapped around the building, through the parking lot continuing all the way out to the access road leading to the shopping mall and a little beyond. Overflow parking out into the main mall parking lot. Inside, all registers packed with lines filling 3/4 of the store; all tables, inside and out, filled to capacity.

All the commies have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.
