Same thing happens on "Hardcore Pawn" absent the saggy pants request.

Here’s my big but. I think the pants thing is indeed stupid, BUT if he made it through security, what reason did they have for making him pull them up?

How about the airline did not want this man's filthy drawers on their upholstery? Would you want to sit in that seat after someone like that sat there? I know I wouldn't.

Actually, it is better that these potential criminals wear their pants like this. It is far easier to apprehend them when running away from the police.

Maybe he pulled the pants higher through security then dropped them? Perhaps the flight crew thought it was a potential security issue? I was on a flight where a passenger, who wear high heel shoes, was asked to remove them because she sat in an emergency exit row.

The airline has every right to have a dress code.

More power to them.

Thanks for your responses, but you gave me YOUR reasons for not letting him board. Can either of you please answer my actual question and tell me why the flight attendants stopped him if he was cleared to fly by TSA?

Dirty Diaper Syndrome. You know, like the 2 year old running around with a diaper full of crap sagging down to their knees. Makes me want to ask, ‘didn’t you make it to the toilet in time’?

Maybe approaching security, he wore his pants in a customary position then lowered them post-security to a position the in-flight crew felt was indecent. That is from the spokesperson of the airlines: “We have a lot of customers on the plane, a lot of children on the plane.”

Actually the ‘saggy pants’ style was ‘invented’ by people of me and my ilk.

See, for years (up till 50) I was able to walk into a store and buy trousers off the rack, 34/30, have a perfect snug fit, dress the comfortable side etc.

Well, I still claim to wear 34/30 but I have noticed that the legs are very much longer than they used to be and go by the theory “There is a 34 down there somewhere”, hence the 34 being found around the ‘upper thigh’ area these days.

Private company, their rules; Mr. saggy ants has to abide by them whether he likes it or not. Reasons could be many and varied; doesn’t matter, though, as long as they are not discriminatory. Last I heard droopy drawers was not a qualification for any of the myriad of protected classes. I am sure obama and holder are working feverishly to remedy that, though.

Simple fact is that Mr. Saggy pants has to abide by their rules; whether he likes it or not.

Thanks again to all who played this guessing game. The fact remains, anyone who has flown in the last ten years knows that a lot of people show up looking like bums, torn, dirty clothes, pajamas, all kinds of weird stuff. Since you all made WAGs as to why he was told to pull his pants up, I’ll give mine, He was singled out because these attendants suffer from “power trip syndrome”.
