Comparing romney to JFK who didn’t initiate same sex marriage nor socialistic healthcare/abortion is just more deception for the spiritually blind. Nor was JFK a bishop in a cult!

Right, Obama wants to open the religion can of worms. I will see your ‘profit’ and raise you a Pro abort, Euthanasia ‘Catholic’, and a Madrassa educated member of Rev Wright's Afrocentric Hate Church.

The religion thing only hurt Romney with the REPUBLICANS and Catholics. Ryan solves Both those problems.

JFK would be considered a right wing extremest today, and the fellow had petty good tastes in women, but you are correct in saying that the Papers are out of control.
Keep chipping away at the liars, their influence is waning.

A Mormon/Catholic ticket? Ha! That’s nothing.

Just wait until we elect a Black Liberation Theologist/Muslim and a mushy “Who knows what” whose “...idea of self, of family, of community, of the wider world comes straight from my religion. It’s not so much the Bible, the beatitudes, the Ten Commandments, the sacraments, or the prayers I learned. It’s the culture.”

Now that would be a truly unique ticket in the country’s history.

JFK was a leftist and the man who’s election destroyed America, don’t buy into this right wing myth stuff.

From unionizing government, to Vietnam, to the 1965 immigration act, JFK was the end of us.

“However, if there is one man who can take the most credit for the 1965 act, it is John F. Kennedy. Kennedy seems to have inherited the resentment his father Joseph felt as an outsider in Boston’s WASP aristocracy. He voted against the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, and supported various refugee acts throughout the 1950s. In 1958 he wrote a book, A Nation of Immigrants, which attacked the quota system as illogical and without purpose, and the book served as Kennedy’s blueprint for immigration reform after he became president in 1960. In the summer of 1963, Kennedy sent Congress a proposal calling for the elimination of the national origins quota system. He wanted immigrants admitted on the basis of family reunification and needed skills, without regard to national origin. After his assassination in November, his brother Robert took up the cause of immigration reform, calling it JFK’s legacy. In the forward to a revised edition of A Nation of Immigrants, issued in 1964 to gain support for the new law, he wrote, “I know of no cause which President Kennedy championed more warmly than the improvement of our immigration policies.” Sold as a memorial to JFK, there was very little opposition to what became known as the Immigration Act of 1965.”

Actually Obama easily won the Catholic vote, Bishop Romney's religion is important to Evangelical Christians, not to Catholics in general, although the Catholic church calls Mormonism a non-Christian, Polytheistic religion, created by Joseph Smith.

Both religions have Popes.

I would hope we can tone that down. We're not electing a Pope. we need leaders who can right the ship of state.

Like it or not, this is our ticket. Either we're with 'em (which is now us 0 or against. Anyone against is aiding & abetting the enemy.

Remember that freerepublic is a very God oriented, conservative site, something like Mormonism is going to be discussed here.

Paul Ryan’s church tells us that Mormonism is not a Christian religion, but that it poses as such, Mitt is a powerful figure and leader in that religion.

There is no way that conservatives can avoid discussing Mormonism, especially when one of their Bishops is the presidential candidate who first asked for and received permission from his Pope to run for president, JFK didn’t do that.

The Catholics, all in all, are not very conservative. Even their Bishops tend to be progressives and agitate for leftist projects. That’s why even Santorum was pro-Union and partial for moderation, at least before this last election cycle. The number of conservative Catholics is very low, and Catholics aren’t that big of a majority in the country either, especially when you consider that many are just Catholics in name only and don’t participate in their own Church services.

Well, let’s re examine Obamas faith then.

But that would bring out the tons of FREEPERs who keep preaching, "Keep religion out of it."

Ya know...all those THOUSANDS of FREEPERs who applied this standard to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright threads & posts...and to Obama's alleged closet Muslim status...

Oh wait.

There weren't thousands of those kinds of comments applied to Rev. Wright or Obama the supposed current Muslim.

That standard apparently is only religiously hypocritically applied to the sacred cow of Mormonism.

Never mind.

**************************

Oh...for additional evidence of this type of religious hypocrisy, see the "non-reaction" of conservatives to: Remember when Romney said he wouldn’t put a Muslim in the cabinet? He made his Mormonism relevant -- and when the original info ran in the Christian Science Monitor Nov. 27, 2007: A Muslim belongs in the Cabinet: Muslims are uniquely qualified to help deter Islamist threats ... when he told the CSM: "…based on the numbers of American Muslims [as a percentage] in our population, I cannot see that a cabinet position would be justified.

(Yeah...like the "Mormon numbers"...being 1.7% of the population...would keep Lds out of the Cabinet or the White House...)

Romney's a hypocrite on this; Lds are hypocrites on this; and so are his supporters...

According to the CIA world fact book, Catholics make up 23 percent of the population, while Protestants make up a little more than fifty percent. Of that 23 percent, you can expect at least half of them to not be practicing. Michael Voris did a really good program detailing just how many Catholic organizations are connected to Soros and/or are progressive, pushing an agenda. It was the Catholic leadership in the first place which hailed the health bill until they realized it went against their pro-life position.

“No but JFK was high on pain killers and XxX anything on two legs his entire adult life. Had the press not protected JFK, he would have never been a senator much less President. The same is true of Obama.”

~ ~ ~

God is so merciful...makes me happy, I have this list of sins I battle.

We both agree don’t we, how important regular...frequent from the heart repentance and confession of our sins to God are for the life of our soul? To add, believe it or not, some day...Heaven says “soon”, all Christians will believe in Confession to a priest (John 20:23), according to private revelation.

Padre Pio bore the stigmata for fifty years, read his words after the assassination of President Kennedy.

“Jackie didn’t tell me that, so I don’t know,” says Archbishop Hannan, adding, however, that there were the deep concerns about the political climate in Texas. “He had been warned about being in Dallas by a number of top Democrats, especially Adlai Stevenson,” recalls the archbishop. “He and others had warned him that they had heard a lot of real bad talk and that it was dangerous for him to go there. Jackie knew when she married him that there would be the possibility of him being assassinated,”

Could this alleged foreboding — these rumors — have led the Catholic president to have secretly requested Confession? Was this really something Kennedy might have done? “It sure could have been,” says Archbishop Hannan. “It sure could have been, because he was told that he was in danger.”

According to the archbishop (Hannan), Kennedy participated in the sacraments throughout his presidency, attending Mass except when travel made it difficult. “When he was outside the city, sometimes he would go to Mass, sometimes he wouldn’t,” notes Hannan.

...It seems that in the zillions of words written in the past four decades, something of this would have come out. If it did happen, perhaps it was Monsignor Wolf, already elderly back in 1963, who took the secret to his grave. Likely? Unlikely? There is one last mystery. In Italy, the famous mystic Padre Pio, since canonized, was said to have broken down and wept at news of the assassination. When a fellow priest, Padre Aurelio, equally distressed, asked him to pray for the dead president’s salvation, Padre Pio reportedly replied: “It’s not necessary. HE’S ALREADY IN PARADISE.”

Michael Voris is a self-promoting conspiracy theorist who is right about 1/2 the time. He is here in Detroit with me. Most of us (good conservative Catholics) know he hates the Bishops and he never gives credit to the good ones while he belittles the less desirable.
In PERSONALLY speaking with him, he has a one track mind that cannot be changed with facts that do not agree with his theory.

Michael Voris is the one Catholic who tempts me to be Catholic myself. I’ve never seen any error in any of his research or arguments. Considering he has Bishops who also support him, though many hate him, I can’t say that he “hates” the Bishops, the Pope and the Catholic Church when he is a greater champion of it than most Catholics. A shame he is wasted on your church though.

Wrong on the facts.

1. Mitt is not a leader in the Mormon Church. He was a Bishop, like a Congregational Pastor. For a time he was a Stake President. Now he is a mere member, Brother Romney. Just like probably 50,000 or more former LDS bishops and stake presidents who are now serving as Sunday School teachers, Scoutmasters, choir directors, librarians and nursery leaders. Like most, he is probably a Home Teacher responsible for visiting 4 or 5 families in his congregation. Nothing more. (He truly doesn't have time to do more).

I was once a Bishop also. Ran for statewide office during that time. Had to be released because I just didn't have time to serve my young family, my congregation and also run for statewide office. By the way, Bishops and Stake Presidents are completely volunteer. There is no pay. And no one seeks or campaigns or tries to position himself to become such. In fact, such a calling is often accompanied by both heartfelt congratulations and not insincere sympathies from friends and well wishers.

2. Mitt did not have to get permission to run for President. Give me a break. Your idea of Mormons is so erroneously biased you are imaging protocol that does not and never has existed.

(There can be only one cure. I strongly suggest you look up the local Mormon ward and attend services tomorrow. You might ask the Bishop for a few minutes after Sacrament meeting to discuss his responsibilities and service.)

Mitt may have asked for advice and counsel from Church leaders he respects. Anyone with half a brain would do the same and consult with mentors and people they respect before taking on such a venture. But in NO WAY did he have to ask permission from Church leaders. Now Ann and the boys was a different story entirely. He had to have not only their permission but their total support. I understand he did seek their permission.

I love onions. And Michael Voris, as well as the late Bishop Sheen, I’m ashamed to say always tempt me to become Catholic. They stand for something which most Catholics do not anymore. He is a credit to your church, and on every Video I see around the internet of Voris are oodles of posts of people proclaiming they are converting. Mitt Romney sought permission from the LDS to run on a pro-abortion platform in Massachusetts. And he got it, of course. And considering the mind-controlling and cultic nature of Mormonism, no leader in the LDS, no matter how minor, can be compared to the leaders in historical Christianity. The institutionalized lying, and emphasis on obedience, are well documented about your hell-bound church.
