Though 60 minutes is a pus filled bucket of scum, their demographics are the ones R&R need to reach...

Levin is great but R&R will be preaching to the choir...

No, rather it speaks of Insanity: doing the same thing twice, thinking you’ll get a different result.

Willard & Ryan are actually BEGGING to get Palinized, even before the convention. Who’s next, al-Qati Couric getting another Pulitzer?

They go on 60 min. but won’t talk to Mark Levin?

I didn't know Levin had a weekend show or that he had invited them to appear on it and that they had turned him down.

Buried behind the PGA which will probably run long, and under the Olympics.

These guys are not Palin, as I am sure you agree. They are neither novices to the blood sport of a national campaign, nor trapped in sentiment alone as their only tool of battle. These guys are ready for a tour de’ force, Ryan being an authority in his field, with large footprints in brains and politics and Ruse Romney is his own master of the long knives.

Ryan has already bested Obama himself face to face. The media might not get their assignment so easily accomplished against Ryan though they will try to make him cry. He is smarter than they are clearly.

>> 60 minutes?!?! I hope R&R are prepared to lacerate those punks!

Even if they do, the 60 min “crew” will slice and dice the inverview and put it back together — with plenty of innuendo slathered in between sound bytes — to make them look like Attilla the Hun and David Duke.

This is a really, really BAD idea.

Unless they secure an ironclad promise that the news crew will air the interview in its entirety, with NO comment and NO analysis, they should avoid ANY outing with the devil’s children that call themselves the MSM.

Palin had a sweet naivete thinking she would be treated fairly and was not properly managed or prepared by Mr. Idiot McCain with his refusal to kick any serious ass. If anybody will be pissing their pants it will be Schieffer.

Ryan is very well prepared now after 14 years of serious street fighting. Romney might waffle in some ways, but Ryan will kick serious ass.

Rita, while Ryan might be able to last a few rounds in the arena, what confidence have you that Bishop Willard will do the same?

Willard was quite adept at destroying his conservative opponents in the runup to Tampa. Where do you see any fire at all for confronting the Kenyan? Ryan’s not the top of the ticket, Willard is.

All I can see is 2008 Redux. A RINO at the top of the ticket, and the VP will be sodomized by the Media, allowing an illegitimate bisexual Marxist to win.

It’s as if the Republican Party WANTS to lose.

Willard apparently eschews an “appearance” with Levin.

Romney and Ryan aren’t Sarah Palin.
Having said that, it would be smart of them to require that their agreement is conditioned on approving the final edited version, considering the antics CBS is capable of.
Otherwise it very well could be several instances of Ralph Maccio in `My Cousin Vinny’ saying, “I killed those people?” with the question marks left on the cutting room floor.
Sixty Minutes is the belly of the beast.

Sixty Minutes???

Let’s hope Mitt and Company are prepared for highly selective editing calculated to present them in the worst possible light.

The Sixty Minutes staff are friends neither to the Republicans nor to the truth.

Yep, they set Romney up to look like a tool by editing the interview to make the last question about his gaffe when introducing Ryan.

60 minutes followed the interview with a segment on the unemployed, which helped highlight that there is indeed an unemployment problem.

I saw the version posted online which was clearly hacked up and Bob's aww shucks smarminess is tiresome. Sadly he might be the best on the broadcast networks these days.

Romney seemed very at ease, the most at ease I've noted which I find encouraging. Ryan focused on some key phrases and language about jobs we can expect throughout the campaign and the lack of leadership. Romney focused on presenting Ryan as a bipartisan leader. It's smart.

Romney's smart to pivot away from the trap that he's now committed to Ryan's budget plan by reminding Bob he has his own plan and that's what they're running on.

Notice the press and Dems always talk about the first Mediscare proposal that Newt called "right-wing social engineering" and ignore the newer bipartisan Wyden-Ryan reform plan which gives a choice between the existing system or the new for younger Americans.

They seem likeable, competent, genuine, a team but I don't have a tingle up my leg for this ticket. Some of it may be fatigue and skepticism. Don't dare hope.

As I've said for many many months, if Obama was John F Kerry or John McCain with the same record, he'd be doomed to one and done as he should be. However, I won't believe it's over until the results are certified. As a country we can't handle another 2000. I don't know if we can collectively handle another four years of "Hope & Change."
