Politics (as usual) is the art of the possible, but with God ALL things are possible!!
Aug 16, 2012 | Jim Robinson

I've been told that we must accept the liberal progressive abortion/homosexual pushing Republican Mitt Romney because we can do no better, that politics is the art of the possible.

Respectfully, I place my faith in God, not politics. With God ALL things are possible.

They say the man who for thirty or more years of his adult life advocated for abortion and homosexual rights and every other leftist cause that came down the pike is suddenly pro-life (and, according to Romney's recent lies, he's ALWAYS been pro-life).

Well, if Romney is serious about the fight for life, he should be forceful about it and immediately lay out his plans to overturn Roe v Wade and whatever other unconstitutional judicial rulings stand in the way of outlawing abortion. He should lay out his plans of impeaching all leftist activist judges that are usurping the constitution. He should declare war on the usurping abortionist/homosexualist/communist statist left!! He should layout his plans for expelling all the corrupt leftist usurpers from the congress.

He should announce his intentions of forever defunding Planned Parenthood and any and all other political groups (left, right or in between) now unconstitutionally drawing taxpayer funds! He should declare war on the abortion industry!! He should declare war on the unconstitutional homosexual agenda!! He should forcefully defend the constitution and our God-given unalienable rights to life and liberty to the hilt!!

He should consult with Ryan who apparently gets it that our rights come from God. He should deputize Ryan to lead the war against the corrupt abortionist/homosexualist/unionist communist bastards that have clearly been fighting a war against us for at least the past 50 years or more!! An unanswered war!! Don’t look now but the godless leftist bastards are winning because we do not have leaders who fight!!

We the people are rising up to fight it without leaders. We are the tea party and we're fed up and mad as hell about politics as usual and we aren't going to take it anymore!

We are legion and we are in your face!!

We need to impeach all the leftist/activist black robed rulers and get them the hell out of government!!

To hell with Romney's hundreds of pages of political plans to tweak the economy. Tweaking does not get it done!! The federal government has no business controlling or tweaking the economy anyway.

Declare war against the leftist usurpers and their unconstitutional statist government they’ve created. Defund and dismantle the unconstitutional federal beast and release the pent up free economy. Set our people free to produce, to pursue happiness, prosperity, freedom and the Glory of God!!

This is not politics as usual. Paraphasing leftist James Carville, this is wahr!!

This is open rebellion AGAINST politics as usual!! Rove, Romney, et al, just don’t get it.

Long live the tea party rebellion of which Rove, Romney and the GOP-e sneers!!

I sincerely doubt that Romney’s up to the leadership task.

Romney is a wimp!! Status quo and the continued slide into the godless socialist abyss is the best he can possibly muster. And the worse he can do is telegraphed in his record. He’s been a godless leftist usurping bastard himself for his entire adult life and I doubt that will change.

Don't believe me? here it is straight from the leftist abortionist bastard's mouth:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OQoBxZZPqU&feature=player_embedded

He should declare war against the abortionist/homosexualist left and against the growing federal behemoth and against the illegal alien invasion, but he won't. He won't do any of the above. Why? Because he wants their vote and will pander to get it.

Well, he can try for the leftist, homosexualist, illegal alien vote if he wants, but he'll never get mine. And that's for sure.

I never considered a compliment. Sorry you misunderstood.

I was only pointing out the irony of the statement.

Your familiar story simply doesn’t apply. For one thing, Romney is far from being the boat that can rescue anyone from raging flood water. For another, even if a flood is coming, nobody knows for sure its severity or real impact. And the apocalyptic flood may not come at all, or it may even be in God’s plan and unavoidable.

>>“If God’s plan is to elect Romney…”

If we truly believe it is God’s plan to elect whoever, we can rest assured that person will be elected no matter what; and we should just let people vote however they want. Do you not trust God can move enough willing people to effect his will?

>>“Why not trust God to do it His way instead of insisting you know better?”

You seem to be equating ‘trusting God to do it His way’ with ‘voting for Romney against one’s wishes’.

And I don’t see where the author is insisting he knows better, except voicing his opinion. On the contrary, those who insist everyone should vote Romney regardless are the ones who think they know better, even though most of them admit they are voting out of fear (of the larger evil), and they don’t want others to exercise their free will.

Are you saying McCain didn’t mean it as an insult?

Since you seem to think that everyone is up on LOR, you post is stupid. He clearly is mocking you, if you are truly a Conservative. I guess that doesn’t matter to you?

What will it take for you to not support the GOP?

magglepuss..it is evident that you think that I didn’t “get” what was going on with the McCain statement.

I “got it” when he said it. Of course it was an insult. It really doesn’t take a rocket scientist to “get it”.

Please go back and look at my original post and quit spamming me. Thank you in advance.

I apologize if the double post was an accident.

Fair question that I will be happy to answer.

We have two major parties in this country. Like it..don’t like it. It is what it is. That is where the funding is.

There are no other third parties that have a chance today.

So instead of voting against the Pubs, I prefer to change the direction of the Party.

It is happening. The TEA party is making it happen. Perhaps you should get on board and volunteer. That is what I do.

My understanding of our situation has little to do with Rush, Mark or any other yakker it is based entirely on my knowledge of The Disaster and his plans and the history of the Left’s desires.

One of the worst mistakes opponents of Hitler made was to refuse to work against him because “he would be rejected if allowed power.” Most of these wound up in the Death Camps or fell to the Night of the Long Knives assassins.

Personally, I would prefer to avoid millions of unnecessary deaths and prevent The Disaster from being able to destroy our nation for another 4 yrs.

Any control a conservative Congress would have over The Disaster would be multiplied 100 fold plenty sufficient to prevent Romney from doing anything too goofy.

I think you just dodged a good point. Romney isn’t going to appoint liberal judges like he had to when he was governor of a blue state with a blue legislature.

If Obama slides into a second term with help from principled folks like you, and if he makes far left appointments that shift the judicial climate against conservative causes like abortion and gun rights for a generation, how exactly does that help us? Do you think God’s gonna be happy about that?

God wants us to be innocent as doves but also as shrewd as serpents. He doesn’t want us to make mistakes like letting a God-hating Marxist have his way with the nation for a second term when there is an obvious way to avoid it.

I honestly don’t think America has felt enough pain. If Romnay is the answer we don’t understand the question.

Oh, no. It's ignorance.

So you plan to withhold your vote from Romney so that America can feel more pain. You realize this is contemptible, right?

Again my question What does the GOP need to do to make you not support them?

I really thought my original answer was sufficient.

Let me try it one more time: Throw their asses out into the street. And, if we don't have the energy to do that, then -- and only then -- we can give up. As you evidently have.

Sure, riiight. Romney was a total liberal progressive on every single issue for his entire life right up to the day he decides to run for the presidency. Snap, a light comes on. Suddenly he’s a bright shiny hard as nails pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-limited government conservative and life long hunter who in reality has always been pro-life. It was not his fault. Someone else made him do all that.

Just how gullible are you?

I've read stories about Jews in early 30's Germany who thought and said, "That Hitler fellow can't be all bad, he just says those things to make his base happy. We'll be fine...."

Your comments remind me of two-volume set of books I read about a decade ago:

"In April 1935, Victor Klemperer was a Protestant professor of French literature at Dresden University and a front-line veteran of WWI. By early May, he was simply a Jew and, like other Jews, forcibly retired. His marriage to an Aryan gave him (precarious) protection, and by 1945, he was one of only 198 registered Jews left in Dresden."

I'll try not to oversell the pair of Mr. Klemperer's day-by-day diary account of the rise of Nazism in his native Germany, but you'll be enriched by reading his chilling, real-life, real-time of what happened during this horrific era. I rarely recommend books or movies since tastes can vary so widely, however I Will Bear Witness: A Diary of the Nazi Years is a must read. One of the Amazon reviewers sums up my thoughts as well:

One maybe even more remarkable feature is Klemperer's immense readability. This diarist writes well, never even loses his humour and dares to joke in the face of mortal danger. I've no notion how he could have mastered such detachment, and nearly as great as my admiration for the subject matter presented in the book is that for the great style of its author.

If you have read Klemperer, I'd appreciate the thoughts of fellow FReepers. If you haven't but are planning to obtain the books, I'd sure like to know what you think once your reading gets underway.
