Well, well, well ~ finally we have it ~ a reference to the ACU rating.

For the last few days I've noted several times that Ryan's ACU rating has dropped 15% from his lifetime high ~ and it's like the Mittbots just don't want to talk about that ~ but on this, now, it's OK?

So, if a 97.24 rating is sufficient for us to overlook the fact this guy had a brain fa*t, then isn't a drop off from that down towards Richard Lugar's ACU rating certainly sufficient for us to question the strength of Ryan's Conservative credentials?

Sarah went with another candidate in the primary ~ probably a wise judgment in this case.

BTW, Biden is a drooling racist from somewhere in PA who's in office as the Senator from a former slave holding state. He has these brain-fa*ts all the time, but he's had brain surgery three times ~ UNSUCCESSFULLY. The fact we know about that stuff he peddles kinda sorta demonstrates the MSM, and the less than MSM picks up on this stuff. With the internet we can even see a video of our guy, or Biden, doing their schtick live and in living color.

Oh, yes, let’s allow this to determine the election for us...after all, the issue of pregnancy induced rape is huge on the election map this year....

You know, I don’t know how much you enjoy being led around by the media...but as someone who has seen a few elections, I can guarandamntee you that as soon as you change the candidate they’ll find another thing they said in order to destroy them.

get a clue, man.

BTW, I am amused by your anti-Romney tag line. Akin has a 97 lifetime rating from the ACU...he is far, far, far more conservative than Romney. But you’re anxious to get rid of him....

Makes no sense, man. Don’t fall for it.

My poor boyfriend, I really gave him a hard time last night, he didn’t have ANY choice. ;-) Tired but smiling today! Poor feminazis, they miss a lot.

And how many non-reported cases of rape that resulted in no pregnancy?

All such statisitics are by nature incomplete.

It is a fight you do not need to pick when you are 11 points up but fact is rapes result in few pregnancies.

It is a red herring by the pro-abortion baby killers and conservatives should not propegate that propeganda.

I actually think this is the part of Aiken's statement that is idiotic. Or can you enlighten me on the ways women have of spontaneously shutting down their ovum during the course of a "legitimate rape?"

It's tough when you have such fierce competition for stupidest clause in what Akin said, but I agree that in the long term this will end up being the most damaging part of what Akin said - it wasn't the result of poor word choice or a single slip; it fits all too easily in the meme of old white Republican men not understanding female reproductive functions.

i watched the 38 second bite...if the so called conservatives on here are going to throw this guy under the bus over such a quick little bite, they’re not conservatives.

Most of them are long on reacting but short on listening. They never heard the soundbite, and probably never will, but they just like to pontificate their indignation whenever the occasion arises.

What the hell are you talking about?

Look, if you want McCaskill to win, then just keep handwringing over the soundbite that ran 38 seconds. McCaskill is pro-Obamacare and is a tax dodger.

I’ll support Akin. I’ve got friends and family in Missouri, and I don’t think they’re ignorant enough to believe the crap you’re believing.

Sometimes they ARE asking for it. And guys will look at clothing as a hint. If she isn’t wearing underwear & is falling out of her top, the average 19 year old male considers that a fairly strong hint that “I’m available”.

And when she is in a military dorm with a guy she invited in, and they drink together and are seen in the hallways with their arms around each other, and there is no sign of force & people in the room next to them hear no screams or sounds of a struggle, and they have sex...was she raped?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Was she asking for it?

Well, she created a reasonable doubt that she WASN’T asking for it.

That was it ~ ‘chick thing’ ~ find http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2912569/posts ~ this is the first Sarah Steelman thread and only a couple of Mittbots were there to spoil it.

You don’t need a control group.

You need to know the rate of pregancy among rape victims to judge whether a law criminalizing abortion warrants a rape exception.

BTW The average couple trying to get pregnant has intercourse about 110 times before getting pregnant.

You are nuts ~ Steelman was endorsed by Sarah Palin. This guy was endorsed by McCaskill!

I have relatives in Missouri too and one of them was convicted of armed robbery ~ he's loose currently!

The number varies by ethnicity to a discernible degree. The Sa’ami have a reputation for extraordinary potency ~ one time. Of course they live where it is very cold much of the year, so that makes sense.

They never heard the soundbite, and probably never will, but they just like to pontificate their indignation whenever the occasion arises.

I've watched the entire soundbite.

I've tried to make this distinction before but it falls on deaf ears. Let me try again.

I know very little about Todd Akin, other than seeing him speak for 15 minutes once and thinking he was a very poor speaker. Other than that, I'd certainly prefer that the Republicans win control of the Senate in 2012.

But what I think of Todd Akin (or what anyone on FR thinks of Todd Akin) is IRRELEVANT.

That's not the issue here. It's what an informed person thinks that OTHER people that DO matter in the Missouri Senate election think about Todd Akin - say, a 31 year-old housewife in Columbia, MO, who isn't registered to a party, maybe her husband is a Republican and she votes Republican 70% of the time, maybe she voted for Bush twice but switched to Obama last election - what does SHE think of Akin now?

Politics unfortunately involves the necessity of persuading people other than yourselves of something. And as I've mentioned this is an "unrecoverable stall" you can't spin yourself out of this one with that 31 year old housewife.

Perhaps he isn't a RINO; just plain stupid. Even if medical statistics support what he said, political statistics would show he made a stupid mistake.

McCaskill was so confident he would be the easiest to beat that she ran ads for Akin in the primary, paid for by the Campaign for Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill.

What it is that reduces the number of pregnancies may well be unknown. Muscle tension, the cervix locks up such that sperm can’t enter, fallopian tubes kink due to tense muscles, increased adrenaline levels lethal to sperm, If you have another then spit it out. I did not say it was impossible. I have found that If I do the research it is always called a lie so I always tell people to do their own research.

Frankly we don't care about Romney's ACU rating because he's not a Conservative and doesn't even like Conservatives, but we do care about the US Senate and if we have to drop this guy now and put Steelman in place to win, that's what we want to do.

This is not a local Missouri issue for us, nor is it a Romney issue ~ he's got his own campaign to run. Let's not bother him ~ particularly him. Just keep him away!

I’m not going to be a knee jerk and agree with the media and the liberals that this guy is a horrible man.

Others have posted information from legitimate organizations that his words were essentially accurate. If you really want the truth you can find them.

Go ahead and whine like a liberal.

I’ve got a spine and I’ll accept this guy’s “I misspoke” statement, and I’ll accept his words at the interview that the punishment ought to focus on the rapist.

And I won’t let the media determine who we throw overboard, especially since it comes from a media that worships Obamugabe.

Let's go back and review the case of one Sandra Fluke. The leftists made more hay out of Rush Limbaugh's response to her stupidity than they did out of the stupidity itself, but she was undoubtedly right up there with the stupid people who know nothing of female sexuality.

(That's 'cause she's a modified guy)

The piece of stupidity that had the country in an uproar was her expressed belief that women in lawschool needed $3,000 a year to purchase birth control.

Of course we laughed at her and finally the Democrats figured out just about everybody who heard her thought she was stupid so they've more recently pulled the plug on her top end sponsorship.

But that $3,000 would provide sufficient condoms to keep those girls busy several times a day ~ for hours on end! Or, that'd be several lifetimes worth of birth control pills.

Limbaugh simply took the wrong tack ~ but she was S T U P I D.

What we have here is another one of those bits of apparent discontinuity with reality that suggests stupidity.

Sometimes it only takes one time ~ "I was brainwashed" ~ to get yourself booted.
