LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- An autopsy report released Monday lists the death of a man shot in the head while his hands were cuffed behind him in an Arkansas patrol car as a suicide.
The state crime lab report, signed by three medical examiners, said the muzzle of a gun was placed against the right side of 21-year-old Chavis Carter's head when it was fired.

Is Captain Renault in charge here?
Arkancide?
Is Deja Vu the proper term ?
I see Vince Foster’s forensic team is still in a job.
Yes?
His family should:
1. Sue the gun manufacturer
2. Sue the handcuff manufacturer
3. Sue the gun and handcuff manufacturer
Some things never change.
But committing suicide by gun while cuffed is a bit hard to believe to say the least.
The Police Chief involved said the dash cam supports the story. Fine. Release the damned video then.
The ODD things about this are:
Officers found Carter slumped over in the seat, and assumed he shot himself.
You would think they would have HEARD the gunshot.
They searched him twice and found no weapon. What did they find after he shot himself ?
Typical Arkansas suicide...../s? My inlaws are from the area. Hear those kind of storys all the time.
At least he didn’t die of ‘natural causes’ like James Milan, another Clinton crony who was found decapitated.
Did he access Obama’s passport, college or birth records? How about his Man’s Country registration application?
During my military training at a police demonstration in Orlando I saw handcuffed people perform stunts that had to be seen to be believed. Some of the stunts were performed by amateurs (like jumping through cuffed hands to place your hands in front of you). The lesson was don’t fall into a trap by thinking handcuffs totally disable a suspect.
A limber young person of small stature could slip the handcuffs under his butts d end up cuffed in front. It’s quite a trick but just possible mid the gun were available in his pocket hd could shoot himself in the head.
I don’t believe for a moment that that is how this happened.
This is either one of the most poorly written or one of the most cleverly written articles (in the AP).
I haven’t seen all the videos, nor all the evidence, but from what I did see, there seems to be a complete lack of motivation on the part of the police to kill Chavis Carter.
There is not enough in the story or video that even begins to explain what happened.
Many years ago I was dealing with a guy who was a known criminal tho he was not charged with anything at the time.
One guy I talked to was the Mayor of Columbia, Alabama. He had been a star quarterback at Ole Miss in his younger days.
Anyway he told me the guy had a girlfriend, acquaintance or some relationship to a girl who was killed by gunshot. He said the funny thing is that it was ruled a suicide despite the fact that she had been shot with a .25 and a .45.
I always suspected corruption but never did know all the facts.
