Mitt Romney's children were mocked by actor Nathan Lane in remarks he made to Vice President Joe Biden as he introduced Biden at a campaign fundraiser today in Bridgehampton, New York.
The East Hampton Press reported:
Nathan Lane opened the event with comedic jabs at Republicans, namely Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and also a few directed at Mr. Biden...
He mentioned that actress Edie Falco, a co-host, couldn’t be at the fundraiser with him because she was filming “Nurse Jackie,” a Showtime series. “I love Nurse Jackie,” he said. “She can’t get through the day without Vicodin, Adderall, Percocet, Xanax and Oxycodone—which, oddly enough, also happens to be the names of Mitt Romney’s five children,” he said.
The audience laughed...
The Obama campaign has conducted the most personal and dirty campaign in recent memory. This is just one more step in the gutter of personal attacks on the Romney family by the Obama campaign and its surrogates.
Four years ago Obama said the children of the candidates should be off limits. That was when he was pretending to walk the high road.
All hell would break loose if we involved Sasha and Malia.
If these people will mock a downs syndrome child (Trig Paxson Van Palin) they will mock anyone.

And then there’s the rest of the thinking world who see these attacks for what they are. They just demonstrate once again that Obama and his campaign have no class whatsoever.

Biden’s daughter was a cokehead—that was all hushed up four years ago.
Biden does not even have the decency to disavow the “joke”.
If it was the other way around, the howls of indignation would ring from sea to shining sea.

This is all they have to offer, Kristin. It goes along with their 2nd grade mentality. They love hanging around with the Hollywood crowd who all live in a dream world, just as they do.
I just read Newsmax which has articles on Mitt and Ann Romney. I didn’t realize he has an MBA and a law degree, both with honors, from Harvard. Earned at the same time!!!!
Contrast this with Obama’s mystery college days and his community agitator experience. He’s all smoke and mirrors—there’s no “there” there, just a legend in his own mind.
Maybe it’s some kind of inside gay joke.
I don’t get it. For comedy to work, there has to be a grain of truth somewhere. The Romneys have no history of drug use, and their names are not unusual, except Tagg. The others are Ben, Josh, Matt, and Craig, btw. (I looked it up.) The stupid joke doesn’t make sense at any level.
That wasn’t so much offensive as just stupid.
