Watched RNC Convention on CSPAN: No Democratic Reporting Trash
Self | 8/29/2012 | Self

Watched the Republican National Convention on CSPAN last night from 7-10PM last night. Didn't have to endure those lousy Democratic Reporters snarky comment questions.

What a relief is was just to simply watch without being told what to believe.

This morning, looking at the news on the Web. I see that viewers were jumping around trying to get away from these 'reporters'.

CSPAN is doing a great job and I encourage you all to watch CSPAN or online at http://www.c-span.org/RNC/Live/

And deprive the snarking, in the tank, 'reporters' more viewership for their advertisers. Who knows, as low as their ratings are, it might hasten their demise.

Thank you very much. I had no idea where to get a link and won’t watch the ninnie’s on TV.

Same here. I watched the convention most of the day on C-Span with no commercials and no talking head babble commentary. And I really enjoyed the performances of the house band (G. E. Smith?) between speeches, which I doubt one would hear on the other TV news coverage. They were fantastic!

Made coffee and settled in, clicking to MSNBC. That lasted 40 seconds then on to CNN. Another 30 seconds and off to (whatever). In 5 minutes I’d run them all BUT CSPAN and gave it up. At least I now know what I’ll head for tonight.
Talk about PROPAGANDA networks. Dr. Goebbels would be so very proud of his pupils.

Why would I need to listen to worthless commentators’ opinions on what I just heard myself?? CSPAN is so much better!

CSpan did have the better coverage.

However, I noticed that, during lulls, they opened up the phone lines. One was an ‘independent’ who immediately went into Pubbie bashing, blaming the Republicans in Congress for not passing Obama’s jobs/economy bills. [Idiot didn’t mention or know that Reid in the Senate is the one blocking most bills.]

Exactly! What I did was go to the RNC page for a breakdown of events and speakers, then I tuned into C-SPAN for comentary free convention coverage.

I watched C-Span, too.

It’s not Democrats talking trash I was trying to avoid, but all the screen hogs. I want to watch the convention, not some talking head, right or left.

I agree with a lot you’re saying. I watched Fox last night but got tired of seeing Shep in New Orleans WAITING for the storm. I gagged at MSNBC and flipped over to CNN. Actually they weren’t all that bad in their coverage and at least covered the convention more than the impending storm. Flipped back to Fox to hear Juan call Ann Romney a good corporate wife. I’ll take your advice and watch CSPAN tonite.

While I was on my stationary bike away from my TV, I streamed the Republican feed on Youtube. When I finished the “ride”, Santorum finished and Ted Cruz was on. I went into the TV room where my wife had it on Fox. The talking heads were talking over the speech; so we changed it to PBS. They did not talk over the speeches. And Newt was on hand, so that Gwen Ifel, Judy Woodruff, David Brooks and Mark Shields could not run rampant with unchallenged remarks when the speeches were over. Shields was chomping at the bit; but Newt kept him in check. Newt alone kept the entire libtard panel in check.

no talking head babble commentary.

Heard that a 'reporter' (IE Democratic Hack) actually asked if the RNC convention should have been stopped because of the hurricane elsewhere. Could you imagine such a question in Charlotte at the DNC Convention? The hack would be escorted off the premises and derided in the media for weeks.

This hack got a polite reply and probably won't get much commentary beside Newsbusters CNN Asks If GOP Holding Convention Tuesday Is 'Appropriate'

I can't imagine the mainstream reporters showing more bias than this but sadly believe I will see worse.

You are absolutely right. I watched the convention coverage on CSPAN, all night. FNC made me sick with the obnoxious Shepard Smith hurricane reporting in N.O., hoping and praying for a devastation of New Orleans. What dirt bag that Smith is!!! Shame on Fox News Network!!! MSNBC, the Obama, Black Racist, America Hating, champion TV slime, had no viewers to speak of and...terrible, biased, hateful coverage. CNN, as usual was lost at sea!!! CSPAN blew them all away!!!

We watched on C-Span, too, thus bypassing the yakking talking heads on Fox that blocked out good speakers like Mia Love and Ted Cruz. We don’t watch Hannity during regular programming, so why should we be subject to his ego trips during the convention coverage?

MSNBC is amusing to watch just for the comedy value, after every speech last night Madow and Summers would try to out do each other saying how terrible the speech was and how it was the worst speech in the history of conventions. They were very disappointed that Rick Santorum didn't get up on stage and say an Akin style gaffe while calling fire and brimstone down on gays and women, so they labeled his speech “boring” and said he had been neutered by the Romney Campaign. They pretty much ignored Artur Davis and Nikki Hallie. They savaged Ann Romney because she dared be a women and not endorse free abortions and birth control, then they said her speech only highlighted how wooden Mitt Romney was compared to her. Then they claimed Chris Christie was so sure Romney is going to lose in 2012 that he gave his opening speech for the 2016 campaign rather than talk about Romney.

I turned on FNC right before I heard something like this: “In 2004 the main issue was the war, but it will be interesting to see how the public reacts now that the focus is the economy, an issue that affects everyone.” I immediately turned it off.

TIVO is the only way to watch anything.

I can skip commercials and the political heads telling me I did not hear what I heard.

Why anyone would watch regular TV. I can watch what I want when I want to watch it and I never ever see commercials because I fast forward past them.

Yes, GE Smith is leading the RNC House Band along with singer Robbie Wycoff, both fresh off the Roger Waters Wall World Tour.

The seminar caller rabble this cycle is as intense as I've ever seen it. Just more proof that the average Obama supporter has WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too much free time on his hands.
