I'm a little surprised at the *lack* of punditry on conservative sites about how well the Romney campaign is faring at convincing Americans to support them during this convention. I expected, for instance, all the NRO columnists to have offered such an assessment so far, and there is only an article. I'm rather amazed that even FR is strangely quiet.
So let's see what you think about it!
(If you're a Paul-bot complaining about the rules which require delegates to vote for who they are selected to vote for or a fundamentalist who'se certain that a Mormon will destroy America as surely as a Muslim will, go ahead and moan, but please don't high-jack this thread; have the courtesy to also offer your assessment so far of how well the REPUBLICANS are doing at getting people to vote for REPUBLICANS, even if you're not thrilled with the Republicans.)
I think you’ll hear plenty on Friday.
There is a buzz. Ann Romney. It will be Ryan tomorrow. That speech was epic. Mitt has a tall order to fill to top it. An Eastwood appearance will make it even harder.
I concur. A convention is structured to increase in momentum like a ... hurrica...oh, bad analogy.
When is Trump speaking? Wasn’t he supposed to have some “surprise”?
So the first thing you do is insult the FR Christians, way to go.
You finally got a guy that you can identify with?

Now credit the author of that quip..........it came from Dennis Miller!
You’ll get an earful tomorrow.
Convention is a joke. It’s mostly a RINO fest and we get to hear from Jeb Bush tomorrow. Yipee! Can’t wait to hear from the ultimate RINO Romney tomorrow. The future is so bright I gotta wear shades (sarc)
Pay more attention. The rules change fight was over a lot more than your definition.
Oh, and I’ll preempt your attempt to call me a Pol-bot. He’s an idiot.
It’s about state control of the party.
Get that knee looked at, the jerk must have torn something.
I voted for Paul in the Tx primaries just to deny Romney the nomination, but as of tonight, I’m on board.
Check back with me tomorrow after he speaks.
I know this...
Obama is unacceptable
Some Christians will recognize I’m not talking about them.
Some Christians will be the ones I am talking about, and by recognizing I’m talking about them will concur with my description.
And some people will purposely be offended at anything that doesn’t proclaim Romney the anti-Christ. They’re welcome to offer their assessment, but I can’t apologize for offending them.
I LOVED the Ryan line (how I remember it):
“In an obama Amercia, everything is free except you and me.”
I was hoping for a contested convention, but The Activist Preibiusly know as Rince upset that wagon.
Again, I am not a Paul fan.
I was just trying to leave options open for a contested convention..
Yup. Too bad you couldn’t find someone else to protest with your vote with, but that’s my feeling towards Romney. I must say, I’m happy with his pick of Ryan, and that the early convention focus is more on deregulation that tax cuts. (There is a point of the Laffer curve where the peak is on your right. For the middle class, we’re far from that point, but for others... Well, the best I can say is that it should be obvious that if Buffet pays less in taxes than his secretary, his tax payments obviously are affected more by senseless deductions and loopholes than rates.)
Ryan could be the catalyst this country needs.
Honestly, the RNC convention is a snooze fest.
It needs a Sarah Palin speech.
She was electrifying in 2008.
Whoever decided to not add her to the program is a fool.
It could use a little Herman Cain also.
I don’t know what it is with modern Republicans and their love affair with the boring.
It shows good romneybot attitude, lash out at the conservatives and Christians in your vanity.
Already Romney’s move to shut out the Reagan wing of the GOP is being blatantly implemented.
It is natural that his most devoted fans share his politics and identity.
