Jeb Bush was the governor of Florida. Katrina hit Louisiana. President Bush was being set up by the corrupt Democrats for impeachment in my opinion.

And with Isaac, obama dragged his feet before making such a declaration? In fact signing it the very day that Isaac made it’s initial landfall. And the declaration has been roundly criticized as not enough by Governor Jindal and others.
With Katrina, the entire blame for the New Orleans fiasco rests with that idiot governor blanco, and the moron mayor nagin.
To evacuate New Orleans alone requires action at a minimum of 40 hours before landfall, and nagin waited until just 19 hours before calling for a mandatory evacuation.
blanco refused to sign the emergency waiver that would have allowed any licensed driver to operate public transit busses (including school busses) to help with the evacuations.
Every sentence began with “we,” as if he had a part in it. He’s digusting!

That’s what I thought also. I am sure I heard Bush declare a disaster 3 days before the hurricane hit. I recall Fox mentioning it in a newscast.

Blanco refused to sign over command authority of the Louisiana National Guard to George W. Bush and the federal government, which is ALWAYS conventionally done in such disasters , so that the material coming in from FEMA and Donations can be properly distributed.
Ice sat melting on trucks at the Louisiana border, truck loads of food rotted, and it was that idiot Blanco who caused the so called delayed response and many died unnecessarily because of it.
When the people of Louisiana found out about what had happened they elected Jindal as their new governor and sent
the Dems packing.
