Recently Ive been reading the anti-Obama blogsphere, and yesterday it finally got to me.
I have only one question to ask are you insane?
No, let me add a few other questions: Have you gone completely out of your minds? Do you want to lose? And do you understand fully what a loss would mean?
I hate to say it but I think the answers are yes, yes, yes and no.
I dont like yelling at people on the right. Like Reagan, I hold on to the idea that there are no enemies on the right. I prefer to make my points in nicer ways. However, there comes a time any good housewife reaches for the broom. It is now time for the broom.
Yesterday at various blogs I read over and over again that the Dem convention gave Obama a big bounce, that hes winning, that his approval is now over 50%, that their enthusiasm is as high as that of the Republican crowd, that
And then you look at the polls that caused this sky is falling fit. What are those polls? Those polls are, in fact, the same old sh*te. They poll all adults, which you KNOW skews Democrat. They poll registered voters, which you know skews Democrat. They poll with a skew of 4% Democrats over Republicans as though this were still 2008, as if 2010 had never happened.
Then all the people on the right echo these as though they were legitimate and say oh, but the polls were correct before.

You said it. I have noticed a lot of debbie downer folks even here. What the heck is going on?! There is NO Obama bounce, GET IT! NONE!
Remember that most polls DO LIE. The only poll that really counts is on November 6, 2012.
If the poll has any kind of MSM outlet of any sort attached to it, it's junk.
If it's from a reliable (read: accuracy is where they make their money) polling house, chances are it's a real snapshot of sentiment at the time the polling data was collected.
True, but most of those results are not released to the public.
Why the italics? Just wonderin’.
I always wonder exactly who it is that the pollsters are polling.
In my very short stint as a volunteer for the Florida RNC, less than one of ten phone calls were answered, and of those answered the phone, less than one in three agreed to answer a two question poll.
I vote. In every election.
I never participate in random “polls”.
The only poll I have ever been asked to participate in have been random calls to my place of employment. I declined.
Who are these pollers polling?
The Republican convention wasn't even that exciting.
Now, about the polls ~ the Democrats had a 10 million voter advantage over the Republicans in 2008.
The Republicans actually got fewer votes in 2008 than they'd gotten in 2004.
That's hardly despondency to remind folks of the fact the Democrats come to the race with an advantage over the Republicans ~ and it's not a little 1 or 2 percent thing ~ it's 10 million votes!
So, what do you do to overcome an advantage like that. First, you plan on some serious voter suppression activity, the best being a very negative campaign against their Presidential candidate ~ no holds barred.
Then you preplan a very major voter registration drive of your own so that you make sure as many as possible of your particular brand can vote when they show up to vote. You cover your bets by preplanning a very serious get out the vote program toward the end of the campaign.
You also should come up with an attractive set of campaign promises ~ hopefully different ones than your opponent.
When I post, I always put the author’s words in italics and any comments I have without the italics.
The rules of partisan political “games” changed in 2010.
Serious people are now paying serious attention to our elected leaders.
We can do this the right way, via an open and honest election, or we can do this the hard way, via bullets and a civil war.
I'm flexable either way, but I very much prefer the open, legal and honest majority of citizens election process.
Absent that, bring on the anarchists, openly.
The ensuing national civil war will be very short and very bloody. Similar to any given weekend in Chicago.
It’s long past the time for an open and honest election ~ that March primary in Virginia sure proved that.
Paragraph after paragraph of italians is very difficult to read, though not quite as bad as all-caps. I think it’s a given you are quoting someone when you post an article and you don’t need to do that.
If it’s given away for free - it’s worth what it costs you.
Vote by the polls lose by the polls. Before the primaries we were shown daily polls that showed that Romney was the only candidate that could beat Obama. He was ahead by 5 to 8 percent. I believe many of the ABO considered this when they voted. Now the economy is worse, unemployment is up, gas prices are rising, and Obama is ahead in the polls. What happened?
Let’s just say some games are being played here. This is why I do not trust most polls. The only poll htat counts is on Election Day.
Ping!
Old codgers like myself know this all too well from history.
It IS fun watching the astonished looks on the news reporters on election night when they are faced with reality however. : D
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Thank you, big guy.
I feel cornered. The Republic and the Church, the two most important things that raised up this land into a nation, have been slapped across the mouth, hard, by both of these posers, one did it all first, at the state level and the other copied it and took it national. God help us.
