During the time that Brenda Charlestain committed nearly $24,000 worth of food stamp fraud, prosecutors said she spent money on plastic surgery, an expensive car stereo system and a bright pink custom paint job for her 2008 Dodge Charger.
Brenda Charlestain testified Thursday that the $9,187 worth of cosmetic enhancements, the $1,100 sound system and the other splurges were all gifts from men she met working as a dancer at adult entertainment clubs in West Palm Beach and Miami.

Charlestain apologized profusely to the judge and begged him to place her on house arrest. She said she overcame many obstacles including the death of her father when she was 10 and her first pregnancy when she was 14 and became a paralegal. She lost a job with a law firm earlier this week because of the criminal case against her, she testified, but got a new job within two days, working as a receptionist at a medical office.

“Brenda Charlestain was so angry when her husband called her from the Broward County Jail that she made a threat against the federal employee who wrote the sentencing recommendations for her husband, prosecutors said.
Charlestain said they misunderstood the phone call and she was actually trying to figure out who put a Voodoo curse on her husband.”

They pay $1000 a month for food stamps.
Who eats $1000 a month in food??? No wonder states like Mississippi are the fattest in the nation.

The other day, a patient on Medicaid told e that she was going to get a tummy tuck. Now, of course, Medicaid does not over this procedure.

By the time the doctor’s office gets through with the paperwork and diagnosis, you will never know it’s for a tummy tuck.

To ever get money from men who frequent adult entertainment establishments, this woman must possess some skills not readily apparent! I'm thinking that the key could be suggested by the number of children.
