Obama Polling Worse Among Jews Than Any Dem in 32 Years

Daniel Greenfield

You have to go all the way back to Jimmy Carter in 1980 to find a Democratic candidate who’s polling worse among Jews than Obama is. And that’s no coincidence. Carter scored big numbers against Ford in 1976 only to lose a major chunk of Jewish supporters after four years of pro-Terrorist policies that undermined Israel and security and stability in the Middle East.

Obama reportedly scored 76 percent of the Jewish vote in 2008. Carter picked up 71 percent in 1976. By 1980, Carter was down to 45 percent. The latest polls show Obama down to 59 percent among Jews.

No Democrat has ever won the White House with that low a share of the vote. The Democratic candidates who scored that low, Carter in 1980, Dukakis, Mondale, McGovern, Adlai Stevenson, were all losers who went on to lose the election. To find a Democratic presidential candidate who won less than 60 percent of the Jewish vote and still won the White House, you have to go back 96 years to the election of 1916 where Woodrow Wilson had 55 percent of the Jewish vote against 45 percent for Republican Chris Evans Hughes. And that was considered a very close election.

The Jewish vote does not determine elections, but it is a sign of the loss of support. Romney is taking a Reagan sized bite of the Catholic vote and is within 4 percent of matching Reagan’s numbers among Jews.

That high after giving Hamas all that money to kill Jews. Shows hot this country has lots of non-religious Jews in the Democrat party.

After THIS meeting where Bibi spoke up to him, I read an article that said when Obama returned to the Oval Office, those in the outer halls heard him ranting, "What the F was that!" repeatedly......!

Nevermind the Jews. How could any clear thinking, tax paying, human vote for this man?

They can't, which is a big part of the problem we currently face. Very close to 50% of Americans do not qualify as clear thinking, tax paying, humans any more.

That's the whole reason this guy was elected in the first place

“How could any clear thinking, tax paying, human vote for this man?”

Obama has turned American foreign policy against Israel.

Over the last four years he has weakened our economy, caused increases in poverty and dependency, degraded our military and set us up for national bankruptcy with astronomical debt.

On top of this the party he leads champions gay marriage and wants to force taxpayers to cover the costs for killing thousands of unborn babies with government paid abortions.

As Paul Ryan said yesterday:

“President Obama likes to say, ‘We’re all in this together.’ Yet how hollow it sounds coming from a politician who has never once lifted a hand to defend the most helpless and innocent of all human beings, the child waiting to be born.”

I can’t say I’m surprised but it’s a little bittersweet.

People who have no connection dont really care, that is the way it is, its unfortunate but its true. I was in Israel in June for my sisters wedding so I see Israel differently than those who havent been there. I have family there and I dont want to see Israel destroyed. Jews who have no connection to Israel just don’t care what happens.

Jews fear white Christians without distinction between US Christians and European Christians and see the Republican party as the party of the Christian Religion. All down to a misguided historical fear - the motivation for Jews voting democrat.

Interesting thought starter.

My father in law is Catholic and thinks very highly of himself and his loyalty to the Democrat party.

Irrationality certainly seems in play. Groupthink is a powerful motivator and subjects one to easy manipulation.

Thanks.

That’s an interesting, well-written article. Now when you consider that it was written in 2003, and one couples that thinking with the overbearing, ridiculously overdone meme over the past few years of everything any white has ever done being racist, one develops hope for Jewish and Black voters. Maybe.

no disrespect but I have a lifetime of Jewish and Israeli interaction as an obvious Southern baptist who has lived in Manhattan and Miami and worked in Ramat Gan

and I cannot think of one Jewish friend I ever knew who wasn't concerned about how the US dealt with Israel...not even the liberal/progressive ones who were the vast majority

the scores of liberal Jews I have known have usually said Israel and keeping a lid on Christian Conservatives ...and the Messianic Social stuff they love/genuine Christians hate... are what propel their voting ideology

I am aware of Jews ambivalent about Israel like Chomsky or Chris Hitchens..RIP...but I never knew one I can recall offhand

Obama’s utter contempt for Israel hanging on in a sea of madness ...particularly when governed by a real man like Bibi which must drive Obama and Cankles crazy..is in my estimation what has peeled off 20% more Jews than usual who would ordinarily vote for leftist manna...which is why it is bittersweet...those in question will vote for policies killing traditional America but they will wake up when their kin in Israel are being maligned by the same turd they elected and propagandize for here to begin with

better than nothing but as Americans their motivation should converge here first then there

The blacks will never wake up, they are blinded by their racism.

Hispanics on the other hand can be reasonable.

Jewish people and the Democrats who crap on them. Never understood that one.

Now they are crapping on Catholics directly and God in general. Spell the party correctly - the Demonrats. They have progressed from being run of the mill Democraps.

Yeah, Christians heard loud and clear from the Jewish Palm Beach Dem party leader who resigned after puking all over us the DNC convention. You can replace the word “fear” with “hate.” That is more accurate.
