Middle East Mayhem: Congrats Obama,You Built That
Townhall ^ | Sept. 16, 2012 | Doug Giles

Posted on 09/15/2012 9:55:38 PM PDT by Innovative

Remember back in the beginning of 2011 when Obama told us about the freedom lovers in Egypt and Libya living under the oppression of dictators and needing our immediate help to establish democracy in their fair lands?

....

Yep, these "yearners for democracy" turned out to be radicals of radicals who'd like nothing more than to eradicate the U.S. and Israel and establish a global bounce house for all things Muslim.

Whoopsie, eh Mr. President? You kind of misjudged that one, senor.

At least I hope Obama misjudged their end game because if he had even an inkling that they would quickly blossom into full-blown anti-America/Israel hate machines then that would make some folks think that our president ... um ... uh ... doesn't have our ... how shall I say ... our best interests or our allies' best interests at heart.

Sad, but true.

Even more unfathomable is that half the American voters want to reelect Obama.

“CNN: Hillary’s Libyan Mullah frees 600 Al Qaeda terrorists from prison

Tripoli, Libya (CNN) reports that ” Hundreds of Islamist militants were among the prisoners freed from a notorious Tripoli prison this week, according to a former Libyan jihadist.

“The freed militants had been imprisoned in Tripoli’s Abu Salim prison by Moammar Gadhafi’s regime during the height of the insurgency in Iraq, according to Noman Benotman, once a senior figure in the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group. Benotman said he believes as many as pro al Qaeda 600 militants may have been among the prison population at Abu Salim.”

The Libyan rebels are firmly under the control of Shariah lawyer and Muslim Mullah (religious leader) Mustafa Abdul Jalil, Obama and Hillary Clinton’s choice to be the next ruler of Libya.

Hillary and Obama have the media behind them in this effort.

Neighboring Algeria, which waged a long battle against Islamist insurgents in the 1990s, has already expressed concern about the instability in Libya being exploited by al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and other jihadist groups. Algerian officials are also concerned that weapons such as ground-to-air missiles may have fallen into militant hands, a worry that has also been expressed by U.S. commanders.

According to Al Jazeera, “Before Tripoli has completely fallen, before Gaddafi and his supporters have stepped down and before the blood dries on the bodies that have yet to be counted, Western powers are already eyeing up what they view us just rewards for the intervention.

“There are no more illusions over how far NATO forces exceeded the UN security resolution that mandated its campaign. For months, NATO officials insisted it was operating within brief - an air campaign, designed to protect civilians under threat of attack. But now it is described as an ‘open secret’ that NATO countries were operating undercover, on the ground.

“Add to that the reluctance to broker a negotiated exit, the practice of advising, arming and training the rebels, and the spearheading of an escalation in violence and it looks like NATO’s job morphed from protecting civilians to regime change.”

This is good news for Hillary Clinton and Big Business in America.

And Hillary wants more—another regime change in Syria.

The Obama administrations media mouthpiece, CNN’s Anderson Vanderbilt Cooper, literally shrieks , Goebbels-like, for regime change in Syria.

Mr. Cooper is well-suited for the job of pushing for war, both by nature and by nurture. Cooper’s Mommy, Gloria Vanderbilt was heiress to the vast Vanderbilt New York Central railroad fortune at the young age of 15 months. Anderson Vanderbilt Cooper was born into the world of Big Business.

Meanwhile, on a much lower level economically than Hillary or Anderson, polls show that the American people oppose America’s series of wars. The Rasmussen poll shows that only 12% of America wants war with Syria and only 20% want to bomb Libya.

Unfortunately, the American people no longer have much say in the matter.”

Abdel Hakim Belhadj (formerly at GITMO) returned to Libya in a Qatar military plane at the start of the NATO Libya operation.

Of the terrorists who have been freed, where did they go and where are they now? What are the communications among them? Are they among those leading this unrest worldwide? Where is the money coming from, for example, to lay siege to the MFO in the Sinai, which is led by AQ terrorists?

Here's the guy Obama's buddy the 'freedom-loving" Muslim Brotherhood Pres of Egypt vowed to free:

"As a freshman college student, [Dr. Mark]Gabriel says one of the most popular lecturers was a blind Sheik. Gabriel asked why he never talked about the love, peace and forgiveness in Islam. Angered, the sheik said, "Jihad and killing are the head of Islam. If you take them out, you cut off the head of Islam." That blind man was Omar Abdel Rahman who was convicted of masterminding the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Before he came to America, he was the spiritual leader of the radical Egyptian group al-Jihad, which killed President Anwar Sadat." ---------http://www.internationalwallofprayer.org/A-052-Why-Islamic-Terrorists-Do-What-They-Do-Dr-Mark-Gabriel.html

On the assassination of Sadat:

“The Attackers

The attackers included four enlisted men, an army major and a lieutenant. The major and two enlisted men were killed in the swarm around the reviewing stand, once other members of the military realized what was taking place. The rest were arrested. The attackers would eventually come to be identified as Islamist nationalists associated with the Muslim Brotherhood under the name of Islamic Jihad.

The group was subsequently found to have hatched the assassination plot with Al Gamaa al-Islamiyya, a Brotherhood offshoot that would , in the mid-1990s, develop ties with al-Qaeda and be chiefly responsible for the 1997 terrorist attack in Luxor on Nov. 17, 1997, when six men dressed in black attacked tourists visiting the famous site in Upper Egypt. Sixty-two men, women and children were killed.

Among the group’s leaders: Ayman al-Zawahiri, subsequently al-Qaeda’s Number 2. Zawahiri was tried and imprisoned for three years for his role ion the plot, then expelled from Egypt.

Al Gamaa al-Islamiyya accused Sadat of apostasy and condemned him for the peace treaty he’d signed with Israel. Not keen on irony, Sadat’s attackers had killed him the one day he celebrated what he and Egypt perceived as a victory over Israel. “

http://middleeast.about.com/od/egypt/a/me081006a.htm

And more, on Gamal Abd an-Nasser:

“The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood initially supported Gamal Abd an-Nasser’s secular government and cooperated with it, but resisted left-wing influences. A Muslim Brother assassinated Egyptian Prime Minister Mahmud Fahmi Nokrashi on December 28, 1948. The Brotherhood was banned, and al-Banna himself was killed by government agents in Cairo in February 1949.

Muslim Brother Abdul Munim Abdul Rauf allegedly tried to kill Nasser on October 26, 1954. The Brotherhood was outlawed again and more than 4,000 of its members were imprisoned, including Sayyid Qutb, who later became the most influential intellectual of the group. He wrote influential books while in prison. More members moved to Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.

The organization opposed the alliance Egypt had with the USSR at the time, and opposed the communist influence in Egypt, to the extent that it was reportedly supported by the CIA during the 1960s.

Nasser legalized the Brotherhood again in 1964, and released all prisoners. After claiming more assassination attempts against him, he had leaders executed in 1966 and imprisoned most others again.”

In my Photoshop imagination, I picture Barack and Michelle relaxing on a beach in Hawaii with little umbrella drinks, facing eastward and watching flames towering over the continental states, saying, “We built that.”

The democrats fluttered with envy at Bush over 9/11. Now they have a new
9/11 and their knees are chattering over what to do. And they cannot say Islamic or Muslim!

That's how I see it.

Remember back in the beginning of 2011 when Obama told us about the freedom lovers in Egypt and Libya living under the oppression of dictators and needing our immediate help to establish democracy in their fair lands?

You do? So do I. How weird. We should become best friends. Facebook me.

Anyway … it turns out that the “freedom lovers” Obama coerced lots of Americans to rally behind (and whom he also pimped out with billions of sawbucks from America’s pitiful piggy bank) were bat crap crazy.

I’m talking crazy on steroids crazy—and not just peaceful crazy like Joe Biden but rather hide-sharp-objects-from-them, menopausal wolverine sow crazy.

Yep, these “yearners for democracy” turned out to be radicals of radicals who’d like nothing more than to eradicate the U.S. and Israel and establish a global bounce house for all things Muslim.

Whoopsie, eh Mr. President? You kind of misjudged that one, señor.

At least I hope Obama misjudged their end game because if he had even an inkling that they would quickly blossom into full-blown anti-America/Israel hate machines then that would make some folks think that our president … um … uh … doesn’t have our … how shall I say … our best interests or our allies’ best interests at heart.

I’ve gotta admit that at the beginning of the Arab Spring I thought these freedom lovers seemed a bubble off level. I mean … I didn’t want to judge, but I wasn’t getting that Jeffersonian vibe from the video feeds coming across the wire; it was stuff like burning the American flag, raping one of our female correspondents, looting their pyramids and decapitating multitudinous mummies that caused me some consternation.

But that’s just me, and who am I? I could be wrong. Or a racist. Or both. Maybe the Arab Spring—like Obama’s economic policies—just needs a little more time to pan out. That’s probably it.

However, the events of this past week in Cairo and Benghazi on September 11th kind of make me feel like this “Spring” is stuck on stupid, and now, thanks to Obama’s backing, we have one violent, jacked-up mess on our hands—one that won’t be remedied easily … and one to which we can point to the president as someone who built that.
