Good afternoon/evening, E...((HUGS))...heavy, heavy winds til midnight, with the emergency folks cutting into evening tv to announce both flood and wind warnings. The winds must have died down because they didn’t wake me up. Except for the rain, which won’t stop, the wind seems to have died down. I will check our back yard for damage when I get home from work.

Oh, and good to hear that your brother is doing better. Will they stay with you until he is 100%?

THE TORCH IS PASSED

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton A. Schwartz presents the Silver Star awarded posthumously to Air Force Capt. Francis Gary Powers to the captain's grandchildren, Francis Gary “Trey” Powers III and Lindsey Barry, during a ceremony in the Pentagon, June 15, 2012.

“Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans - born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage - and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world. Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

President John F. Kennedy - 20Jan1961

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Astronomers believe that the universe contains one atom for every 88 gallons of space.

I want to know who and how they measured this. d:o)

Doing quite well. Just about done. I pre-test them after eight hours of class (we just do two hours an evening) so they’re almost ready for their exams.
