Deadly Attack in Libya Was Major Blow to C.I.A. Efforts

WASHINGTON — The attack in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans has dealt the Central Intelligence Agency a major setback in its intelligence-gathering efforts at a time of increasing instability in the North African nation.

Among the more than two dozen American personnel evacuated from the city after the assault on the American mission and a nearby annex were about a dozen C.I.A. operatives and contractors, who played a crucial role in conducting surveillance and collecting information on an array of armed militant groups in and around the city.

I’m thinking if I think the worst I can possibly imagine I still wouldn’t be close.
And the worst I can imagine isn’t printable anyway.

Film's Fault
CIA's Fault
Obama & Hillary's Fault!
They had three day's warning.
Obama went to bed when the attack started after being informed of the situation - DID NOT go to the situation room.
Obama and Hillary sent the ambassador there without a marine contingent and with unarmed 'guards'.

And the one in Afghanistan was a meet and greet to give the asset a birthday party.

Why was the “security” at the consulate connected to the Muslim Brotherhood?

Had something to do with a British firm called "Blue Mountain."

Of course, its initials are BM which flipped backwards...

Odd. I distinctly remember reading an interview with someone in the intelligence community shortly after the attacks who said that the CIA was actually pulled out of the “Arab Spring” countries a few months ago at the orders of the State Dept., which didn’t want the new governments to think we didn’t trust them. Much of the intelligence work, as a result, came from other sources (such as the military intelligence corps) or from foreign intelligence services that were still operating there.

I don’t know which version is true. Who knows what’s true about anything anymore, for that matter.

His visit there had been per-arranged. He went to Benghazi to finalize discussions on an aid program and to dedicate a new cultural center, of all things. Obviously, he was set up by the Islamists.

Whether or not Stevens was gay, it’s not likely that the Islamists knew anything about it. He was killed because he was an American, and the ferocity of the attacks was because of that fact alone: he represented the West.

Incidentally, it has emerged that Stevens himself was a Muslim convert. He was a Sufi, which is regarded as a heretical sect by “orthodox” Muslims, but it’s not likely that the attackers knew this, either. In any case, Sufism is very opposed to homosexuality, so even if he had been considered gay at some point, he wouldn’t have been an active homosexual anymore and hence there’s no way al Qaeda could known about it.

He was killed out of hatred for the United States and the West, and also, as in the case of the Egyptian attacks, to show our powerlessness and the fact that we are now afraid of them and they can attack with no concern for retribution from us.

...just setting the table for President Romney.

Also, I specifically remember our intelligence assets getting hammered when Carter handed Iran over to the Imams.

-—Obama & Hillary’s Fault!-—

Perhaps you have it slightly wrong. There is another take.

First the question must be answered....... did Obama set it up to blame Hillary?

or......

Did Hillary set it up to blame Obama?

In the chess game, either could sacrifice the Stevens pawn to put the King in check

This:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/09/22/Security-Forces-At-Consulate-In-Benghazi-Had-Ties-to-Muslim-Brotherhood

Nothing to do with initials.

Reports indicate the Obama administration indirectly relied on the Muslim Brotherhood for security in Benghazi.

Intelligence communities are focused on the February 17 Brigade. This is a Libyan militia led by Fawzi Bukatef, who has known ties to both the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist fighters. The February 17 Brigade “had been charged with local security to the consulate” in Benghazi.

During the attacks that took Ambassador Stevens’ life, Bukatef claims the Obama administration took no action. Rather, the response to the violence was handled solely by the chain of command within the February 17 Brigade. “We had to coordinate everything,” said Bukatef.

From a practical standpoint, this is not only problematic because of Bukatef’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, but also because one of his commanders, Ismail al-Salabi, is an Islamist military leader in his own right.

Because of these contrary interests, there are even reports that part of the February 17 Brigade stood down as the Islamist attackers stormed the U.S. consulate. This squares perfectly with Libyan Interior Minister Wanis al-Sharif’s early claims that Libyan security forces essentially handed the US consulate personnel over to the attackers.

Someone sent me a link to a video about Stevens converting to Sufism but I can’t find it. Do you have some source/link?

From everything I’ve read (and I’ve read about this obsessively), I am sure it goes much deeper. Just the fact that the bogus movie was trotted out and beaten like a drum, all the lies told by the administration, the mystery of why he left Tripoli and went to Benghazi with apparently no security whatsoever, the fact that they had received no warnings of the attacks although warnings were given to the US gov, etc etc etc.

What two leftists made the movie? I figured it had to be made by leftists and the amdinistration’s lies about it made the connection obvious, along with all the other bogusness.
