Bozell, Conservative Leaders Send Letter to Media: 'You Are Rigging This Election'
Newsbusters ^ | 9/25/12 | Bozzell

This election year, so much of the broadcast networks, their cable counterparts, and the major establishment print media are out of control with a deliberate and unmistakable leftist agenda.  To put it bluntly: you are rigging this election and taking sides in order to pre-determine the outcome.  In the quarter century since the Media Research Center was established to document liberal media bias, there has never been a more brazen and complete attempt by the liberal so-called “news” media to decide the outcome of an election.

A free and balanced media are crucial to the health of this country. It is your duty as journalists – as outlined in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics – to “distinguish between advocacy and news reporting,” while simultaneously “seeking truth and providing a fair and comprehensive account of events and issues.”

Journalism, once a vaunted profession, has assumed the same value and worth as reality TV.

Media - “Duh!”

Sorry, not meaning to be sarcastic to the post nor to Bozell. The media isn’t even trying to hide it. The letter needs teeth. Let’s start with a threat of a lawsuit, maybe.

I greatly appreciate Brent’s efforts, but I fully expect the corrupt MSM to respond by extending their middle finger to him. They simply don’t care. They know what they’re doing and they are not interested in objectivity. Plain and simple.

Wow, now that will work. Telling lefties that they are behaving in an unfair manner! Nothing like pointing out the blindingly obvious to get the unethical to change their ways.

“Hey, you are robbing that bank!”

Instead, conservatives must be very clear that there are consequences for such treachery and deceit.

In this case, a dozen corporations control almost all US media: TV, radio, magazines, newspapers, books, and much of the Internet.

IT’S TIME TO BREAK ‘EM UP!

The media are not a monopoly. They are an oligopoly. A limited number of businesses that control the market and do not permit competition.

And it just takes one law to bust that cartel up.

And conservatives should create that law.

That's about as well-intentioned as gun control laws; but just like gun control laws, anti-monopoly laws are unconstitutional.

Any premise of objectivity is now totally gone, as opinion politics replaces all media previously known as ‘journalism’.

Any assumption to the contrary would be presumptuous.

Since at least during the 60s, the media has been really corrupt. During the Viet Nam war I often thought (correctly as it turned out) that the media was on the side of the Communists.

Watergate was a high water mark for media bias. I was not really a fan of Nixon but goodness the media basically smeared him as if he was another Hitler. Watergate was nothing compared to Fast & Furious but one was covered maybe a thousand times more than the other.

Now it has gotten the worst I have ever seen. They are more or less an Obama re-election force. They are doing things which they have to know are corrupt which means they themselves are corrupt.

I say sue for malpractice.

"Journalists" are credentialed. They have special privileges over you and me.

With these privileges come responsibilities. Clearly, they have not satisfied those responsibilities.

The damage that has been done can be evaluated in the trillions.

Surely there are clever attorneys who can put together a class-action malpractice lawsuit against these media creeps.

Reality TV has more credibility than the MSM but then they have always been this way. They were by and large supporters of democrats and the opposition to Lincoln and the Union war efforts.

There was a paper in New York that was secretly bought by a consortium made up of Jefferson and democratic republican supporters who used it to trash the Washington administration. Of course, the democratic republicans later rechartered as the democrat party. The media has been mostly partisan scumbags through our history.

Why does no one discuss a peaceful protest and “takeover” of the media? Evryone says “I know we can’t change the media”.

It can be done, just as they took over the universities and our schools. The media can be pressured to air conservative voices. If we don’t start to take back America’s institutions, we will be lost.

As for this election, I think the emotional groundswell is building to reject the cage the liberals are building around us.

Guys, it won’t get better if we bitch about it. We have to infiltrate them. We have to turn the thing around. In the meantime, we can boycott them.

Local TV news outlets are as liberal as the networks...get hold of their sponsors. And get hold of their management. Let them know you know they’re not reporting the whole story.

Send them alternate news sources. Let them know you’re going to tell neighbors, friends at church and at work about the other sources of news—and that your friends are going to be less likely to believe their reports because of your actions.

This will work with newspapers, radio, or tv...I emphasize local news because they are much closer to the “people” and are highly influenced by sponsors. Believe me, if the “sales” department of a media outlet are hearing from merchants that people are avoiding them because of their sponsorship of a bias—the sales boss will talk to the news boss. And because money is the coin of the realm, the sales boss will win.

Keep the pressure on.

>> Journalism is dead. All news is suspect.

Actually, the Leftwing Media is getting the truth shoved up its rear by the new disseminators of information. It still dominates the psyche of the Country, but that should come to an end.

The Marxist takeover plans stipulate that journalism and education must be infiltrated...we are waaaaaaaaay beyond that. Extrapolating from what Yuri Bezmanov stated, the final stage of the take over is nigh.
