Akin Refuse to Drop Out Of Senate Race
Fox2Now ^ | 9/25/2012 | Betsey Bruce

Akin told a crowd of supporters, ” In August I was given a trust , a trust to replace a senator that had not represented Missouri or our best interests.” He added, ” I have one purpose going into November and that’s replacing Claire McCaskill.”

As the deadline to withdraw from the November general election ballot passed, Missouri’s Republican party issued a statement saying it will support Akin along with all the other Republican nominees on the ballot.

“Akintards are the political world’s equivalent of alcoholics - but by proxy. They’ll never accept responsibility for their own candidate’s foibles. Instead, they’ll blame everyone else.”

Wow, that actually sound more like Mitt’s supporters and Obama’s supporters. I think you have pointed a finger in the wrong direction.

Would you prefer that a law be passed to prohibit abortion in case pregnancy resulting from rape? And if such law were to pass what would the punishment be limited to the abortionist only and not the mother?

I would prefer that this evil practice had never been "legalized" in the world (just because it is "legal" does not mean there will not be a price to pay on Judgment Day for those who never received the Lord's salvation and forgiveness of sins). It is murder, and the "mother" (who is no mother at all) is just as guilty as the butcher who does the "procedure."

I don't know why you waste your time asking me a question like this at all. If you are pro-abortion, then there is no common ground between us, no point in "discussion" on such a barbaric topic.

This race has turned into a circular firing squad among conservatives, as just a look at the comments on this thread will confirm. The fallout from Akin’s untoward remark was that he lost much needed support from groups who are not conservative, but who don’t like McCaskill and can be persuaded to vote Republican. These groups are essential to any election win in Missouri. Akin has lost these groups and will not get them back. So, even if he regains the support of conservatives, which he will, he is in a losing position.

The RNC and NRSC are acting rationally in this case, something quite rare for them. The have limited funds (for good reason, many including myself have not donated to them for years) and can’t afford to waste money on losing efforts. They also understand that this dust up could have an effect on other ballots if they publicly support Akin. He’s on his own because of his own actions, and unfortunately his behavior will deliver this seat to the Democrats. The war between RINOs and conservatives is not helping the conservative cause, you don’t see this among the Democrats who have a much more fragmented and divided electorate because they understand that winning is the important thing. Too many conservatives don’t seem very concerned about winning, they just want to poke a stick in the eye of any Republican they deem unworthy. That’s a good way to become permanent losers in a country that has a conservative majority.

And now the veiled death threats have begun.

The GOP circular firing squad phenomenon is making me care less and less about this election. Replacing a party at the helm that wants to destroy all of us, with one that is bent on destroying itself, while the ship of state is headed for the rocks.

I’m in Florida, so the Akin issue isn’t supposed to be my business. But it’s one more example of this bizarre GOP metamorphisis where the liberals and Rino Quislings label a conservative voice a threat, and it’s supposedly conservative “patriots” gathering with the knives.

The time is too short for me to care more about it than finishing this post and then I drop the subject. The enemy lays seige to us and the supposed “defenders of the constitution” can’t agree on the toppings of a late night pizza without throwing compatriots to the wolves. Frankly, I don’t know that much about Akin, but having seen GOP stooges pull out the knives for the most conservative of our candidates, I assume he’s a staunch conservative and a threat to liberals and their GOP butt buddies, it’s simply become the standard MO for this bizarre loser party. November can’t come soon enough; it concludes all my association with it.

Blunt’s support along with other conservatives will help Akin with his fellow conservatives, but I don’t think that he really needed much help in that camp. Where he is going to have trouble is with moderates, independent, women, and young people. McCaskill has plenty of money to persuade them from moving to Akin. That’s the problem with the line of reasoning that conservatives can elect Akin. Their support is essential but not sufficient. McCaskill knows this, the RNC knows this, the NRSC knows this. Akin supporters will figure in out in November.

There are plenty of damn idiots that will still vote for Zero when he has said more than his fair share of stupid statements in the press.

Rove has failed to support republican candidates and YOU call that united? What we witnessed two weeks ago from Rove is the kind of temper tantrum he is famous for in politics. He exhibited it in 2010 when he refused to support Christine O’Donnell as the nominee for a Senate seat in Delaware. He exhibited it again in 2010 when he refused to support Sharron Angle as the nominee for a Senate seat in Nevada – the Senate seat held by Harry Reid, no less! He exhibited it again when he refused to support Joe Miller, the nominee for a Senate seat in Alaska.

He didn’t support their bids to win because they weren’t his favorites to win the nomination – just as Todd Akin wasn’t his choice.Joseph Farrah, 9/14/2012

<>Akintards are the political world’s equivalent of alcoholics - but by proxy.<>

Here — meet some more Akintards: Jim DeMint et al.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2936428/posts

“The challenge for Akin now is fundraising,” Hoskins writes. “Party leaders in Washington have made it clear that they won’t help him regardless of how close the race is. This isn’t the first time the Republican establishment has attacked and abandoned a conservative nominee, and it probably won’t be the last.

Ohh No — he used that forbidden words: “Republican establishment”. He must be an Akintard too.

“Wow, that actually sound more like Mitt’s supporters and Obama’s supporters. I think you have pointed a finger in the wrong direction”

Wrong.

Go back and read (in previous threads) the various excuses offered up by the Akintards. Rarely do they ever accept responsibility for their own candidate’s actions. Many of them have said “He apologized. Move on” only to contradict themselves later by saying “He said nothing wrong”.

It really begs the question “Well, which one is it then?”

Besides, this thread is about Akin, not Romney and Obama. What you’re saying here is classic Akintard. It’s misdirection. You can’t defend your candidate - other than to possibly say “Well, he’s for the protection of the unborn” or “He’s a conservative”. One a side note, we all are! So you resort to the old line that’s been repeated on this site ad nauseatum “But what about Romney...?”

“Akin supporters will figure in out in November.”

It’d be nice if they would - but don’t count on it.

For the record I am against abortion in ALL situations except I am bifurcated in situations where a woman is impregnated via violent forcible rape. I can’t imagine the violated woman suffering TWO punishments via a prison sentence if she opts to not continue the unwanted and violently forced pregnancy.

The world says it is a bad thing to “force” a woman to not kill her baby conceived in rape.

In case you’re interested in reading and seeing, here are some faces and testimonies of those babies, now adults, who are grateful their mothers did not choose to kill them because of rape conception: http://www.rebeccakiessling.com/Othersconceivedinrape.html

And, here are some women who deeply regret killing their rape-conceived babies: http://www.choices4life.org/Conceived_In_Rape_Stories-Babies_Lost.htm
