Polls Show Obama Is Widening His Lead in Ohio and Florida [Operation Demoralize by CBS/NY Times]
New York Times ^ | September 26, 2012 | JIM RUTENBERG and JEFF ZELENY

For weeks, Republicans in Ohio have been watching with worry that the state's vital 18 electoral votes were trending away from Mitt Romney. The anxiety has been similar in Florida, where Republicans are concerned that President Obama is gaining the upper hand in the fight for the state's 29 electoral votes.

Those fears are affirmed in the findings of the latest Quinnipiac University/New York Times/CBS News polls of likely voters in both states, which show that Mr. Obama has widened his lead over Mr. Romney and is outperforming him on nearly every major campaign issue, even though about half said they were disappointed in Mr. Obama's presidency.

Couldn't find a breakdown for Ohio, but the Florida sample was...get this....36% Demonrat, 27% Republican, 33% Independent.

The laughable "journalism" also claims to find Sharon Whalen. Sharon says she voted for McCain, but now supports Obamugabe. Sure.

Correction: that breakdown above is only for those who say they will “definitely” vote.

Heh... These polls are more likely to make Ubama voters complacent than they are to discourage the “Get the African communist out of our White House” crowd. Talk about a scheme destined to backfire. Go for it, Democrat newsrooms. Go for it.

Even if it seems like 0bama leads by 30%, people on our side still have to get out and vote, even in permanently conquered California, New York and the NE. If our fate has to be the reelection of 0bama, at least make a strong statement he doesn`t have mandate-level support.

All this deceptive pro-Obama maneuvering is doing is to further steel my seething anger at him.

If need be, I will crawl over broken glass and New Black Panther thugs to go vote against this tyrant.

My hope and prayer is that I am but one of a national army who will do the same just like we did in 1980 when we threw Carter out on his butt (coincidentally, with the same types of misleading polls then).

I actually like these polls. Our side has tremendous resolve and will turn out regardless, whereas the stinking lazy moocher class will believe this crap and stay home.

When they said Obama Out raised Romney I sent Romney more money. When they say Romney is uncaring I send letters to the editor documenting Romney's compassion. When they say Obama leads in the polls I vow to vote. If your in a fight you don't give up until the fights over. I really care less about polls. It does seem thought that Pennsylvania may be coming into play according to Rove, Obama should have that state locked..

The last Sept 23 poll in Florida actually asked these questions as part of the poll! No comparable questions on Obama quotes on Israel or anything else.

Mitt Romney recently said, “There are 47
percent of the people who will vote for the
president no matter what. All right? There are
47 percent who are with him, who are
dependent upon government, who believe that
they are victims, who believe the government
has a responsibility to care for them, who
believe that they are entitled to health care, to
food, to housing, to you-name-it, that that's an
entitlement. And the government should give it
to them. And they will vote for this president no
matter what.... These are people who pay no
income tax." Do you think Romney’s comments
were appropriate or inappropriate?
Appropriate .....................................................
Inappropriate...................................................
Not sure ..........................................................
Q9
Do these comments make you more or less
likely to vote for Mitt Romney, or do they not
make a difference?
More likely.......................................................
Less likely .......................................................
No difference ..................................................
Not sure ..........................................................
Q10
Do you think Mitt Romney should release his
tax returns for the last 12 years, or not?
He should........................................................
He should not..................................................
Not sure ..........................................................

Why shouldn't obama’s “lead” widen?

Things here and abroad are getting better by the day!

Anyone getting next year's health insurance premium notices nowadays is sure to switch their vote to obama!

And it is so exhilarating to watch the news from the UN and middle east and recognize how far the USA has advanced in being respected by the rest of the world!

And then of course, there are those who can't wait for that oracle of public virtue, Madonna, to strip in public if obama wins- that's worth 10% of the vote right there.

There must have been some really horrible local news in Florida and Ohio the rest of us didn't see. So far, the worse things have become the more the voters want Obama.

Also, there must have been another segment of the population that decided they can't stand Obama by some overwhelming percentage. The polls have suggested all year that Obama loses a bunch in every demographic but makes it up in volume.

This only cements the fact that the Conservative and Republican voters will show up at the polls. NOTHING will change my mind and we should all take someone with us to the polls. Don’t forget to ask the little old lady that lives near you if she needs a ride!
I also think that the targeted regional ads that Romney’s campaign will release will help. The only thing that has been drummed in the media is the “47%% comment. I had a coworker spout that one off at me yesterday at a sales meeting where the owner of our company, (dyed in the wool conservative) was at. It empowered him to mock us. (If it was my company, that would have been grounds for firing his ass) However, our salesmanager shot back at him that he hasn’t seen a raise in 5 years, and if Obama comes in he can kiss ever seeing a raise!

I hope you are right. It seems that we are all getting very familiar with the “Democrats oversampled” line of reasoning. But here is what worries me: all of the polls are moving slowly in obama’s favor. Sort of like they did in 08. Yes, back then the D’s were oversampled also, perhaps not as radically, but on election day, McCain did better than the polls said he would (many of them...).

The sense I get right now is that Romney is narrowly losing, but that he “is losing” ie present tense. I get the sense that something is not right and that if the trajectory of today continues, obama will be re-elected.

Of course, if Romney wins Florida, that will make things much harder....I hope and pray that you are correct on Florida.

“.. the Florida sample was...get this....36% Democrat, 27% Republican, 33% Independent.”

This means they used a 2.7 point over poll of Democrats a 10.6 point under poll of Republicans and a 3 point over poll of Independents. All of this equals a 10.3 skew toward Obama and another lie.

No need for the welfare class to get up and vote on election day then. But the Makers instead of the Takers will crawl over broken glass to get to the ballot boxes.
