Discontent in Spain and Greece is rising.

Greece's two largest labor unions went on strike today, disrupting flight and train services and forcing hospitals to depend on emergency staff.

This is the first general strike in Greece since the coalition government came to power.

Markets are selling off across Europe. Spain is down 3 percent, and yields on the Spanish 10-year surged this morning.

Protestors gathering around the Greek Parliament in Athens, throwing Molotov cocktails at the riot police but have been pushed out of the main square now, according to BBC.

Meanwhile, Spain which saw massive anti-austerity protests yesterday, also saw demonstrators take to the streets on Wednesday. We will be updating this feature through the day.

Just about as clear an explanation as one could hope for. Clear and correct.

I had a terrible dream last night. obastards election led to rising taxes to stagnation of the economy to starvation to riots to a muslim invasion and that led to slavery and genocide by ignorant muslim fanatics. The end did not come quickly. muzzie adolescents would mow down hundreds and laugh maniacally.

obastard cordoned off the whit hut and never said a word.

I wonder which Dem-run city our riots will start in?

SF?
Chicago?
Milwaukee?

Liberals everywhere will not learn from this. Not there. Not here.

Are they congenital idiots? No. They don’t want to know. Their wills are weak.

So what we have is, at bottom, a spiritual crisis.

You're wrong Turbo - it IS a left and right ‘thing’.

The left in Spain and Greece pushed for ‘redistribution’ even after they had run out of other people's money. Now 'the dependent ones' are pissed - they're the recipients of State sponsored theft of others money and labor. And they're not happy. There, like here, the dependent ones are the violent.

In our country the Occupy types are violent, the Tea Party types are NOT. It's not the same... I have no idea how you can say that - or think it.

Glad to see the observation. Do have to wonder about a lot of protests: ok, so it’s pretty intense there, but how far does the action & sentiment really spread? Once about a mile from protest “ground zero”, does anyone care? is there any effect? Having all the photos either concentrated on dramatic individual shots, or cropped to the same large-but-limited mob area, the impression of “pervasive” is obvious but the reality isn’t.

Remember someone doing an analysis of a really dramatic “went viral” news photo of a protest, which worked thru the full sequence of pictures actually taken. The up-close image inspired a sense of “the city is outraged”, when it really was about a half-dozen idiots amid an otherwise disinterested normal busy day. Someone here will remember the keywords to search on...

“Honestly, the picture of the police officer on fire makes me wonder. At what point do you take the gloves off? Once the protesters start throwing fire bombs, deadly force should be authorized.”

Will you be advocating as much when the Obama civilian security forces attack Tea Party demonstrators here in the USA?

If things get THAT BAD here, it’s more likely to happen here, as Americans are armed and within many there remains the “fighting spirit” of the American Revolutionaries and even the soldiers of the old South....

Why do u think many U.S departments are stocking up on firepower?

They know what many of us already know. The collapse is coming to
America, bring chaos as well

We will see destruction just for destruction’s sake, the cities will burn for weeks and I think they will be abandoned by the “authorities” and just left to burn themselves out in an orgy of destruction.<<

AND YOU’LL SEE THOSE ONES WHO BURNED THE CITIES DEMANDING REPARATIONS!!

You missed my follow up, more clearly stating my thoughts on the matter. Go check out post 19, for clarification on what I was talking about.

WATCH A PREVIEW OF WHAT IS COMING TO AMERICA IN AN OBAMA SECOND TERM...

The thought occurs: could Obama's reelection turn out to be a good thing for us? I'm talking about the possibility of Texas, Arizona, and other states forming an "Autonomous Region" and declaring this new area independent. Within five years that region could be the most prosperous country in the world.

The Dems may be in a rhetorical corner on this-- having supported "self determination" for other areas around the globe.

There would be differences between this movement and the Civil War: Obama is no Lincoln , there won't be any Grants or Shermans, and most important, they'll have no constitution to appeal to.

Texas has more people on Medicaid than Iowa, Arkansas, or Mississippi have people. Where will they ship all those folks to?

Well, I guess I didn't think this through too well.

But the question is, is Texas getting a return comparable to the money it's sending to Washington?

I suspect illegal immigration has produced this problem, and Washington refuses to do anything about that.

The breakaway states could not abandon inherited obligations, but they would have more latitude in adjusting them in the long term.

I propose this mainly as a threat to counter the implied threats of rioting in the streets made by dims and media. They assume we'll remain compliant. This is a credible option that may force them to reconsider.
